I forgot I'd mentioned the Tess thing! She's only doing it so Elani and Alasdair can fight? I can see they will need to have the "speaking to a member of the opposite sex is not flirting/having carnal knowledge with them" conversation. Or does he want her to start acting jealous over Sophie? For that matter, WHY IS HE HANGING OUT WITH ELANI (if he teaches her BSL)? Not that she's jealous, just turning tables. (She might think he and Sophie had been together at one point though.)
