This Week's Trending Rank at House of Cards: Ten of Hearts
Er, apparently.
This is Muzy, and this is Dr. Joanna O'Neill, Ten of Hearts. Born and mostly raised by her single father at the Heart outposts, Jo spent the first twelve years of her life happily going to the outskirts school and managing the tiny O'Neill household until her father decided she should take advantage of the better opportunities in Town, and he shipped Jo off to live with a distant cousin and finish up her compulsory education there. As is often the case when you start a new school at the awkward cusp of puberty, Jo had some trouble making friends, and instead she developed serious observation skills, watching her classmates as much as she ever played with them. As a result, it wasn't such a surprise when she decided to go Outside to college on a scholarship, studying first psychology at the University of Notre Dame and then going to medical school at the University of Washington, eventually qualifying to become a psychiatrist. The surprise was that she came back, and relocated to Town after her father's death.
She has a small practice in Town and coordinates with the other NPC therapists, including Milo and Suzanne. Hadyn has recently been nudged into seeking out her services, but she's always looking for more clients. Or if not clients, because this is the Deck and who seeks out psychiatric help really, friends and acquaintances would also be awesome.
:D?

By which I mean hi she and Cadogan I bet know each other because of rea...sons? I mean, probably because all the Tens are Ten-friends by law. And possibly soon because he needs to get back into therapy sooner than later and there is. No Diamond therapist right now because. Of death. Murder-related death. Yes.
She's on the line of 'might have known Simeon' before he stopped existing, if she wants to squint at Cynric. And she's probably at least passing friends with Rita because all the Heart lady friends what you can't stop me.
Otherwise... I'm not sure about Evan, Chives or Eileen.

Clearly they know each other because they favor unpretentious bars and sitting quietly to enjoy your beer/whiskey over dancing on tables. Not that there's anything wrong with dancing on tables, but it's just not their thing. And she is, of course, happy to speak to Cadogan in a professional capacity and promises she has no murderous intentions in the least.
She probably did know Simeon, having been a lifelong Heart. Didn't their family live out by the Outposts? Am I imagining something? If that's the case, she might have known both of them, but I'm not sure. And she and Rita should totally be lady friends.
Gillian Anderson is also in the fantastic rack club, lbr. She'd know of Eileen, might know that Eileen sees/used to see Milo, but probably not beyond that. I've got nothing for Evan or Chives.

Yes! They were Outpost Spades until they were like 16, when Simeon became a Heart and Cynric became a puddle of disappointment. They're also about a decade younger than she is. Preferences for her knowing both of them or just Simeon? Coin flips?
Mm yes yay ladyfriends with classy drinks and frank conversations about all the things. \o/
She has a fantastic everything oh my god. Don't mind Rita while she flirts s h a m e l e s s l y.Still seeing. And I mean, Evan just makes friends at people, so they might vaguely know each other.
Chives there is nothing for. But probably if she ever showed up he would intuit her favourite tea and all would be right in the universe.

Probably knew Simeon better, but both of them by sight, and therefore headtilts a little bit at Cynric on occasion. And yes, classing the hell out of every bar in the Deck, but especially Mackinnon's.
ITS OKAY RITA, Gillian is a goddess.Drea and I are discussing below that Jo might have been friends with the foursome back in school, so Eileen might know her as one of Argine's old schoolfriends. Not a parental figure so much, since she was away for most of Eileen's life, but an acquaintanceship, certainly. Jo is also a former ballet dancer, so she might know the McCartneys via artsy stuff.
She does love her tea. And thus is beloved by butlers.

I imagine there's much "LALALA I DON'T KNOW YOU YOU DON'T KNOW ME I WAS NEVER A SPADE I HAVE NO BROTHER" from him. And possible occasional cranky childishness of grown men around people they were children near.
OH MY GOD FLIRTING WITH BEN AND JO IN THE SAME NIGHT SHE WILL DIE THE HAPPIEST LADY EVER TO EXIST.Huh. It's likely Argine was mildly competitive with her, actually. And that she's slightly clinging now because old friendships are so rare. Bet Eileen calls her 'auntie' but doesn't really know her overly well.
Also A+ McCartney dance friends the best of friends. /o/
There should be a name that means 'beloved of butlers' the way all kinds of names mean 'beloved of God.'
Although lbr it's probably just 'Victor.' 'Victor' means 'beloved of butlers.no subject
This is going to be HILARIOUS. She will smile at him a lot with the twitching amused smile.
Ooh, competitiveness would be interesting. Jo was very studious, earned scholarships and such to go to Notre Dame, so some academic competition would have been fun. I think Jo would have still been Outside when Edgar died and at the Outposts when Andrew was murdered…but she would have come back for both funerals, and would have tried talking to Argine. She may have even suggested Milo for Eileen.
THATS ALL I CAN MANAGE ON MY PHONE.

and also redhead alliance. And maybe Rachel will pop by for therapizing, I'm not sure :|aRowan will know her because Hearts. Maybe she comes by Teresa's every so often? I fail at CR.
no subject
I think she probably likes Rowan. She might come to Teresa's for coffee sometimes, though she tends to be more of a tea type. Still she went to med school I'm sure she drank coffee. XD
no subject
Rowan will maybe come bitch at her a little bit about plot things, then. And yes, med students do require coffee, so she's welcome. Whenever the place is properly fix'd, anyways.
no subject
Rowan is welcome to come have tea, and Jo is happy to help in any way with fixing up the cafe.

Katya also is probably aware of her because of her rank and being fellow Tens together. They sound like very different people, so not sure how much they socialized. Mind you, Katya's always happy to share a drink with someone.
I'm sure Maggie knows her and has probably fed her brownies and tea a few times. Sarah clearly adores her
rivalfellow Ten. Probably enjoys asking her to lunch, shopping, what have you.Monty knows her because he pretty much knows everyone. He might stand her a drink if she wanders into the same bar. Tess knows her to look at, for certain.
I'm open for anything really. I know I'm not being creative, but it's nearly 1AM here and the juices they don't flow.
no subject
Probably at best she and Katya have had drinks together. Jo certainly has no PROBLEM with her, though, but between the personality and age differences, they aren't probably close.
I'm sure that Jo probably knew Maggie growing up, especially since she was miserably shy and older than her years. She and Sarah would have either been in the same class or just a year apart, and I imagine that Sarah probably befriended her. As such, Jo can probably discern that Sarah's ambitious but likes her generally. She herself has no desire to be a Face.
Jo spent her junior high and high school years living with Mrs. MacLeod, who is a Club that owns a pub that I invented before Ben opened Mackinnon's. Probably Monty has been there, so they might know each other through that.
