newbie says hello!

Hi! I'm Marie and a brand new player, though you might have played with [livejournal.com profile] taser_maiden or seen her around. I've seen you guys for a while and I've been interested but I decided I might as well stop peeking and try it and flail like mad.

I come bringing Lasandra Adare to you all, a six of heart and very content at being a six of heart. Sandy (to friends) is a child of an Outsider and the former Hearts court artist. She was raised in the Outside but heard stories from her mother. She finally saw the Deck when her mother became ill and when her mother died, she had to go back with her father to the Outside. But she fell in love with the place and returned after earning an art degree. She's still culturally an outsider though she tries her best to fit in. It's been her talent (and boy is she) that's helped her so far.

I suspect she hangs out with Outsiders a touch more than those raised in the Deck, however a few people within the Deck could have known her late mother, Diana.

Hope to play and CR with you all! <3

Clubs are Hufflepuffs and Hearts are Gryffindors. I thought this was the Agreed Thing.

Except I have no thread proofs where we agreed of such a thing. So, y'know, there's that. But. Still.

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
BASICALLY YES. CLUBS = HUFFLEPUFFSS as;fkljas

now we need a card with his face (http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l39b1pz73e1qzpwi0o1_400.jpg) in Clubs.

[identity profile] graceandwit.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
...if that happens a Kristen Stewart card would have to follow, you realize. It's like the law. Is not sure how she feels about this

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Oh man. Is not sure either.

Actually though that girl is gorgeous with blonde hair. And without blonde hair too. Like from this angle. (http://s568.photobucket.com/albums/ss126/pixiechanicons2/icons/female/kristenstewart/02/banner2.png)

She's also pretty damn fierce. Is too lazy to find picture proof but it EXISTS

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
YES. No need~ I have seen all of that picture proof already. Back when I had a girl!crush on her. Which was incidentally about a week ago.

I have now moved on to Saoirse Ronan. With also that everlasting love for Ellen Page.

[identity profile] kear-ptb.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
...Spades Slytherin, Diamonds Ravenclaw, Hearts Hufflepuff and Clubs Gryffindor. That's what I came to a few days ago.

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
What no. xD Except this might just be my color associations talking. Hufflepuff = dark green = closer to Clubs than Hearts. Gryffindor = red = definitely Hearts. :3

[identity profile] kear-ptb.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Hufflepuff is yellow...

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I know, yeah, but I color associate it with dark green. O_O I don't even know why.

[identity profile] kear-ptb.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Synesthesia? (I have a friend who calls Suzanne Vega's "Small Blue Thing" the round yellow-blue song.

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
All the time, man. "It tastes like orange!" (Also. 'Tom's Diner' is the green lines song.)

[identity profile] kear-ptb.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
:D

I hate Tom's Diner with a bloody passion, just because no one knows ANY of her other songs.

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
.___.

GUILTY.

I should probably listen to more of her. Just to expand my eclectic taste in music.

[identity profile] kear-ptb.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Start with Small Blue Thing, and move on to...Bound, Pornographer's Dream and Caramel. Maybe Blood Makes Noise for a more rock-ish feel, too.

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
I will do that. Because I need to expand my repertoire.

And stop listening to only one song from every band/artist in existence.

[identity profile] kear-ptb.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Warning: Angela the music nerd will make you playlists and song recs all week long, if you're not careful.

[identity profile] eucre.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
You will be exactly like my dad then. And considering that I am a great fan of my dad, I don't think I'll mind unduly. :D

[identity profile] kear-ptb.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Alright, I'll start compiling lists of youtube videos while I'm at work today.

Is there any genre to avoid or emphasize?

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Country is to be avoided. :||

Alternative and pop and 1970s-1990s rock is to be emphasized. :D

[identity profile] kear-ptb.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
...I think tonight's selection will be Emerson, Lake and Palmer--maybe with a side of the Alan Parsons Project.

[identity profile] somuchheart.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Since I have never heard of any of them, I think this is a good plan.

No seriously, I thought of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Thoreau on Walden Lake, and then Jimmy Palmer from NCIS. >.

[identity profile] kear-ptb.livejournal.com 2012-01-24 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Oh you poor thing.

Okay, this evening, about 12 hours from now, you will learn about ELP and the APP.

I'm ready to be educated~ ♥
