Greetings, everyone. Emma here with the absolute last one ever (and I so blame

keep_them_safe for this, I soooooo do), Ethan, a Seven of Spades. Born into the Deck before David took over, he's currently one of his King's little "pet projects", or something like that. Click for history and info if ya like.

He's just returned from a two-year mission working "undercover" in the Italian mafia, details of which are known between himself and his monarch. But he did manage to bring home a few new trinkets, many of which will end up replicated in the Spade armory, no doubt. >} He'll be familiar with his Suit (and no doubt many of the higher-ups in the others), but only close with Amy and David, to an extent. Anyone new to the Deck in the past two years, expect scrutiny and probably a lot of surreptitious (annnnd, probably some not-so-covert) information gathering.

Anyways, huzzah, my lovelies and so excited to be playing with you guys more! /bounce bounce ^^

Oh! I was also gonna ask: First thing Ethan does after arriving home is make a beeline to wherever David is and report. Would you rather do that in a sws post or in a different entry? I can toss up a sws post here in a few, if you'd rather do so there. 'cause, it'd be super bamf to play out. ^____^

Oh, it's a madhouse in my brainz. But, I do think this will be the last. ~~At least for a goooood lonnnnng while...~~ I know what burnout is, alas, and am taking steps to avoid it.

Oh hey, Seven. Guess who's the Jack now? And he was only a Four when you left.

Two years means he'll know of all of my characters, but notice that all of their positions have changed. Except Urania's, but hers never changes. ~~OR DOES IT.~~

Elisha will likely prick his interest, since he was a Six and went to Ten fast and brutally. I don't know if David will share that Elisha's the spymaster for the Clubs, but if Ethan's sharp he'll probably pick that up.

Avery was probably an...Eight when he was last in the Deck, and probably beneath his notice, since she was in charge of the Diamond kitchens. I don't know if that would change, honestly, even though she's now a Ten. XD

But then there are the Spades. XD

Urania is a Spadebaby like him, also born before David took over, so...they possibly grew up together. I have no idea if he bought her crazy act, and I have no idea if he'll be surprised when she challenges a Six in a few months after seven years of stubbornly clinging to Four, but...there we are.

And then there's little Zoe, who was an eighteen year old Six of Hearts when he left and is now a twenty year old Four of Spades working directly for the Jack of Spades and dating one of the Nines. I...would guess that Ethan would notice that little change.

Welcome Ian--I mean Ethan. I am amused since Ian is Katya's genderswapped PB in the H/V! verse. He has many, many fun icons. She must feel an odd connection. ;D

I guess I should add that Katya went from 8 to 10 and from there to Queen while he was gone. He would have known her as the HR Director. She came in at 6 because of prior experience.

Sophie (5 of Diamonds) is my only Deck baby right now and probably the only one he might have a nodding acquaintance with. Monty (3 of Clubs) and Rajat (2 of Diamonds) are at 2 years and brand spanking new to the Deck respectively.

WHY HELLO THERE ~~IAN~~ ETHAN.

...I have absolutely no idea how these two would know each other beyond having the same rank. She also gets around so that should be ~~fun~~ interesting. In a potentially hideous and amazing sort of way.

I will be making flowcharts! Seriously, I probably will, lolol.

Ahhh, Uranina, I'm sure they're acquaintances somewhere down the line. IF NOT THEY SHOULD BE.

Sieben probably didn't even register on Ethan's radar before he left two years ago. He stood to one side most of the time, incredibly amused at this whole "Deck" and "Spades" thing. It might get Ethan's back up to find out that Sieben leaped from Seven to Jack, though, especially since traditionally Jacks are challenged for. (...except for, um, all of the Jacks that are being appointed because of Deck departures...but USUALLY they're challenged for. XD)

Otherwise, he won't know Dafydd at all, and it might take awhile to spot that he's a spy for the Clubs because his primary job has changed. Mel's still doing her thing, and maybe Frankie had stitched Ethan up but maybe not, if he preferred not to go out of his own Suit for medical treatment. David trusts Frankie, though, so that could make a difference.

Yeah, Daddy David didn't exactly keep him appraised while he was off "under the Tuscan sun" as it were, so coming home to this new hierarchy is definitely going to be a shock. But Ethan'll be a good boy ~~mostly~~ regardless. He's always been more loyal to David than Athena in any case, just as a matter of course.

They should totally know each other. I have no idea how old Ethan is, but Urania juuust turned 33, is from an ancient Spade family, and was being pushed towards Jack of Spades before she decided the Deck game could fuck itself. They were probably trained by some of the same instructors at the very least.

Now, actually concerning, like... characters and stuff. Adrien and Piper will have stayed the same as before he left. Blythe will have suddenly gone from around Four-ish to Ten, and Suzanne will be new to him. :D

Oh, there will be celebratory broskies, definitely. ~~And plots, lots of plots, to one day stab Sieben in the back, lulz.~~ He'd probably be irked somewhat, but hell, not surprised in the least; IT'S LIKE A SPADE THING, RIGHT? ^__^

WOO MOAR INTRIGUE. If David trusts Frankie, then yeah, Ethan probably did visit her a time or seven, particularly when it was a wound he couldn't stitch up himself, lolz. ♥

Ethan just turned 26 on January 2. So he's still a relatively wet-being-the-ears brat. His folks were assassins for the old king, the crazy one and Ethan's dad was just as whacked. So he's inherited his own brand of crazy, which David managed to redirect before the kid exploded, lolz.
