Greetings, everyone. Emma here with the absolute last one ever (and I so blame keep_them_safe for this, I soooooo do), Ethan, a Seven of Spades. Born into the Deck before David took over, he's currently one of his King's little "pet projects", or something like that. Click for history and info if ya like.

He's just returned from a two-year mission working "undercover" in the Italian mafia, details of which are known between himself and his monarch. But he did manage to bring home a few new trinkets, many of which will end up replicated in the Spade armory, no doubt. >} He'll be familiar with his Suit (and no doubt many of the higher-ups in the others), but only close with Amy and David, to an extent. Anyone new to the Deck in the past two years, expect scrutiny and probably a lot of surreptitious (annnnd, probably some not-so-covert) information gathering.

Anyways, huzzah, my lovelies and so excited to be playing with you guys more! /bounce bounce ^^

Two years means he'll know of all of my characters, but notice that all of their positions have changed. Except Urania's, but hers never changes. OR DOES IT.

Elisha will likely prick his interest, since he was a Six and went to Ten fast and brutally. I don't know if David will share that Elisha's the spymaster for the Clubs, but if Ethan's sharp he'll probably pick that up.

Avery was probably an...Eight when he was last in the Deck, and probably beneath his notice, since she was in charge of the Diamond kitchens. I don't know if that would change, honestly, even though she's now a Ten. XD

But then there are the Spades. XD

Urania is a Spadebaby like him, also born before David took over, so...they possibly grew up together. I have no idea if he bought her crazy act, and I have no idea if he'll be surprised when she challenges a Six in a few months after seven years of stubbornly clinging to Four, but...there we are.

And then there's little Zoe, who was an eighteen year old Six of Hearts when he left and is now a twenty year old Four of Spades working directly for the Jack of Spades and dating one of the Nines. I...would guess that Ethan would notice that little change.

Welcome Ian--I mean Ethan. I am amused since Ian is Katya's genderswapped PB in the H/V! verse. He has many, many fun icons. She must feel an odd connection. ;D

I guess I should add that Katya went from 8 to 10 and from there to Queen while he was gone. He would have known her as the HR Director. She came in at 6 because of prior experience.

Sophie (5 of Diamonds) is my only Deck baby right now and probably the only one he might have a nodding acquaintance with. Monty (3 of Clubs) and Rajat (2 of Diamonds) are at 2 years and brand spanking new to the Deck respectively.

Yeah, Daddy David didn't exactly keep him appraised while he was off "under the Tuscan sun" as it were, so coming home to this new hierarchy is definitely going to be a shock. But Ethan'll be a good boy mostly regardless. He's always been more loyal to David than Athena in any case, just as a matter of course.

Oliver here is a Spadebaby-- he's also a Seven, and even about the same age. So. Yeah. He's been a Seven for the past two years-- give or take quite a few falls to Six followed by sharp counterchallenges that get him back to Seven. Some call him the Six And A Half of Spades. Ethan may be amused to discover that he's still at Seven after two years away. XD It seems likely they knew each other as kids/teens, too.

I also have Isaac the Crazy Butler and Diamondbaby, but he was a reclusive child and just sort of flits around giving out tea and scrubbing patches of wall with a handkerchief. So. They may have a passing knowledge of each other.

Wren came to the Deck at sixteen as a horrible brat, matured over the years and was very recently promoted to the Ace of Hearts. They could have been teenage buds if he was okay with her drama queen ways.

Aaaand Garrett's been in the Deck a few months so would be new.

Um, obviously there is Victor. Who is pretty much the same guy he was when Ethan left. Still a Nine. Is oddly dating a girl 14 years younger than him. Um, he was on Athena/Julien's side of the suit conflict when Ethan left- and currently working- sort of- fot the Jack when Ethan returns.

Then there is Hadyn. Who Ethan might know only because Hadyn was born a Spade. His mother was a ten, in charge or training lower numbers, his father a nine. When daddy died/was murder about 12 years ago, Hadyn's mother took him and his brother Jordan to the Hearts.

Only have Andrea to offer here. They might have known each other in passing when growing up and he could remember her for being the major tease (and then some) to the boys.

Andrea might pick up his interest since she suddenly returned to Deck two months back after being gone several years and her leaving was such a dramatic and scandalous event in the Spades. But she possibly won't hold it up for long. Trying to not look like a threat to anyone so she'll do her damn best to come across as harmless and friendly. The bird and flowers will help that out so much. :|

I'm Ana and I've got Johnny here (a heart, and he's been in the Deck for 10 years so Ethan could know of him but he's always been in and out and back and forth so....*shrugs* Plus he's not really that high profile and he likes it that way so...up to you!)

Then there's Elani (elani_songbird) who's been Eight of Clubs for at least a year or so and doesn't seem terribly inclined to go anywhere else. She's been in the Deck her entire life so again, it's possible Ethan knows of her though I'm sure her brother will despair if she makes more friends among the Spades, LOL.

Then there's Diana (di_a_mond) and she's another Seven, but in the Diamonds, which she's been since probably right around the time Ethan left. Right after that, she went and opened a pub up down in Town.

And finally, there's Julien (acethatmatters) who is. Uh. The Ace of Spades. And he's been that since well before Ethan left. The biggest change of course would be that when Ethan left Julien was quite doggedly the Queen's Ace and only begrudgingly did things for David. Now he's...he'd probably say he's the Spade's Ace, period. But he and David are on marginally better terms since they tried to kill each other. ^.^

Ethan definitely knows who Julien is, lol. And is unfailingly polite in that snarky, patronizing way I'm sure Julien finds very familiar. But Ethan'll clench his teeth and smiiiiiiile, because he's not quite ready to pick his guts up from the dirt just yet. ...one day, though...oneeeee day.

Also, reading the threads with Johnny and Morningstar was made of awesome. I absolutely loved that story arc. Lol, I felt so bad for poor Johnny, too!

I have Lasandra here, a six of hearts. When Ethan was around, Sandy was ... *maths* four? Fairly speedy. However, Lasandra is a touch airheaded due to her high energy output and passion for art so the idea she's at a fairly high number for not being deck born and being loopy may or may not be suspicious.

And I also have Christopher schoolikenew. He's an outsider but he's been on the Deck for about 11 years. He had a quick charge from 2 to 5 within three years but stayed at 5 despite being more than capable. He's been a teacher and recreational boxer for about as long as he's been on Deck and successfully hidden the fact he's got chronic depression.
