Voicetesting Meme!~

... as announced a while back.

Here be rules and explanatory things!~
1. Taking part is not mandatory! If you wish to test-drive a new muse, here's the place, but if you'd rather app them without testing - that's perfectly legit, too. :3

2. There are suggestions for scenarios behind the cut. You can use the RNG to roll a relationship and a situation, but you are absolutely free to come up with a scenario of your own. It's more like a friendly suggestion/bit of inspiration from out side.~

3. You may voicetest as many characters at once as you like, and testing them here doesn't make apping mandatory. It's supposed to help you get a hold on the character's voice and to help you decide whether they would fit into the setting or not.

4. Please, keep the following in mind:
a) nothing that happens in this meme is canon or has to be taken into the game. This applies to both the CR and the situation at hand - though if you like it? Talk about it and make it canon once your muse got in.~
b) taking part does not assure that your muse will get into the game.
c) it's just a meme. It's here to help and to have fun, nothing more, nothing less.

5. For the voicetesting characters only: please fill out the short form below:.

Player name: Your name/online alias
Character name: Your character's name.
Character Rank/Suit: The rank your character holds and the suit they are in.
Short description: Three to five short sentences that will give some basic information on your character. This could include their occupation (or whether they are new to the deck), mention existing relationships to characters already in the game (as long as that has been discussed with the character's muns) and maybe a few words on the character's personality. Don't link to an already written app/the character's whole history/an essay on their personality. It's just supposed to be a synopsis.

The information given me is not yet set canon, so you are perfectly free to change it for the actual app.~

6. You can also post a character that is already in the game so people can bounce their voicetesting characters off of you! Actually, this is very much welcomed. Do it! :D If you want to.

As stated above, here is a list of the relationships and scenarios you can roll out in case you don't want to come up with something else or just like randomness a lot.

Relationships
1. Acquaintances - You have seen each other around, but rarely exchanged more than a couple of words. Time to chance that!
2. Friends - What it says on the tin. Maybe you've known each other for a long time, maybe not - whichever works best.
3. Colleagues - For some reason, you two work together a lot - be it cross-suit work or inter-suit things, you keep ending up doing important stuffs together.
4. Lovers - What it says on the tin. Secret or not, just crushing or close to married, it's The Wuv between you two.
5. Exes - When No. 4 went bad. This may or may not get awkward.
6. ENEMIES - You hate each other. That's all there is to say.
7. ??? GO WILD!

Situations
1. Surprise!assignment - For some reason, your King/Queen/whoever decided you two should work together on a ~~gloriously random~~ project. Even crackier when it's off-suit.
2. Suddnely, date. - Can be a blind date, an assignment taking a funny route or an Actual Date (or whatever else, really). Go out, have fun. Wheee.
3. Challenges! - Either that person challenged you, or you challenged that person, or you are going to challenge soon or ... whatever challenge-related scenario you want to have here.
4. Morning After - What happened last night? Where are we? I have no idea, you play it out.
5. Party, PARTY! - It's time to celebrate a thing! IDEC what thing! Maybe it's a masquerade or a fun evening at the Four Suits Pub...
6. Bad Day - For all your emo needs. One person has a bad day, the other comforts them. Or makes it worse. Or anything else.
7. ??? GO WILD.

She grins back as she sets the pile of books on the desk and leans an elbow on top of them. ~~She is totally bringing him to the library the next time there is Commenting.~~

"Oh, and you know what my high score is, darling?" Kill the pig, Liam. Kill it good. She hasn't had time lately, what with actual work.

[ooc: the best part is muttering KILL THE PIG on the train, ngl.]

"Of course I know what your high score is." He slips the phone into his pocket, tugs a little at the books and raises an eyebrow at them. Let him check them back in. He will start poking in five seconds. "It's lower than mine." Duh.

Oh, don't make her get competitive, Liam. She doesn't have time to devote to an Angry Birds war this week; she has to get a budget out and find people on the Outside for a Ten she sort of lives with. "Don't you think you should double-check that?"

It's been a month for killing the pig, after all.

"No. I'm sure I'm beating you. I don't even need to check." Okay, he's pulling out one of the books in the stack. Sorry, Zoe. He efficiently scans it, nodding slightly. "So how are you and your groom-to-be?"

...Well. That's certainly one way to get her off the subject of Angry Birds. Zoe does not choke. Liam's imagining that. It was just a pause.

Really.

"Victor and I aren't getting married," she says. "We haven't even been dating a year."

"Oh, sorry." Smugly amused face. Liam is awful, undeniably. He'll just pull out another book from under her elbow, scanning it in as well. "Your beau, then? Your confidant? The light of your life? Your latest squeeze?" He loves you, promise. Somewhere deep down inside.

He is an awful, awful, terrible, no good man. But what does she expect at this point? Nothing less. "I dare you to call him the light of my life to his face, Liam." Dare you. "Dare you. And I usually go with 'boyfriend.' Or alternatively: Victor."

He takes pride in it. "Oh, you think I won't?" Liam quirks an eyebrow at her. He will make a grand total of no promises. But for now, he will play innocent and move along. "You never answered the question, Zoe. How are you doing?"

"I think if you do I either want to be in the room or...really far from it." No, she doesn't think Liam would actually die, just get the patented what-the-hell-are-you-on expression.

"I'm fine," she says after a moment. It's truer than it was last week, at least. Her best friend isn't in a coma, the man she's in love with hasn't broken any more limbs, she hasn't gotten stabbed, and she's actually managed to take over accounting. She is, however, really tired and wondering if vacations actually exist or if they're myths. "Busy. Urania switched over to accounting an Tamsin isn't quite ready to deal with Sieben all on his own yet."

"Don't worry, Kattalakis." He gently sets the books on a rack, to be re-shelved later. "I promise that if anything like that were to happen, I'd videotape the entire thing for you."

He nods understandingly, as he tilts one screen to face towards him and clicks something on the browser. He's not playing Pac-Man, he swears. "Things are always busy around here. It's about time to ship half of us off to Majorca for a week or so, and even then, we'd just stress out the whole time about having to do work when we got back." Wait. No. "Well, other people would. I'd enjoy myself. That is- do you think they have pollen in Majorca?"

"You're a pal, Breighton." Her elbow hits the desk and she pushes her fingers through wavy hair.

He's totally playing Pac-Man, but what else is new. Unless he's playing World of Warcraft, of course. "Majorca sounds lovely," she admits. "Or Nice. Maybe Monte Carlo." She's pretty sure Majorca has trees, and thus pollen, so she makes a sympathetic face. "You'd probably be fine at the beach."

"Anything for someone as pretty as you." It's said dispassionately, as he continues clicking. Not that he doesn't like you. Just that his view of girls and dating is stuck back in the viewpoint of an eleven-year-old. One of the many reasons Sophie broke up with him, no doubt.

"The beach sounds like it'd be nice. Do you get wi-fi there?" He is incorrigible, and by the way he's trying to hide a grin, he knows it.

She snorts at that, though it isn't the same kind of 'pretty? you must be joking' snort he got when she was a few years younger. Apparently dating is actually a confidence builder. Who knew?

"Are you implying that we don't get wi-fi everywhere?" Does she sound aghast enough? "Of course we do. If not, I'm sure Meghana could probably rig something."

"You don't even know, Katt. Once, I went to a coffee shop, and they didn't have internet access. Like, think of how many young authors who were looking to become the next Rowling - think of how many dreams were crushed. They'd be lining up to go in and start writing and they'd open up their computers and bam. No internet." Never mind that one didn't need internet to use a word processor. It's a good story, and he ends it with a wise nod. "It was awful."

"It must been. I mean, who can write without internet access? It's an impossiblity." So much dry sarcasm. How is that people think she's sweetness and light again? "And how have you been, other than trying to beat my high score on Angry Birds?"

"Absolutely. See, you understand." He thinks she's sweet. Just. In a terribly Spade-y way. "Well, I'm hoping that soon I'll be able to walk outside without collapsing, but besides that, I'm fine."

That gets another wince of sympathy. Zoe doesn't have asthma, but she does have allergies, and there is nothing elegant about sneezing your way across the Deck. "The pollen tapers off when it gets to be summer, doesn't it?" She's pretty sure it does. "So next month should be better."

How the hell is it already almost May? It doesn't seem that long ago that she was at a firing range obsessively practicing to challenge across to Four.

He nods, glancing up at her. "I cannot wait until the weather improves." It is May already, and this means Liam will have to come out of his hole of an office and venture outside. It's sort of exciting. But also depressing.

Thinking the outside is depressing is why you look like a ghost, Liam, not that she has room to talk since she can conceivable dress as Snow White. "Me either. I miss riding, and it's not quite as easy when the ground's mud."

The outside is great, man. The inside is just so much better and safer. "I miss feeling the sun on my face as I beat people in Mario Kart. I'm thinking of adding a window to my office so that I don't get these strange urges to actually leave my screens behind."

"Isn't this what laptops and tablets are for?" She's just wondering, because that's how she manages to administrate investments - for herself and for someone she probably shouldn't be managing investments for - and does Suit accounting while simultaneously encouraging the proliferation of freckles. Well, that and playing Bejeweled.

"I have a window in the accounting office now that we're moved out of a closet. It's more like a porthole, though."

Pained looks. All the pained looks. "When you have screens like this-" he points at his largest screen, to his far left, "why would you settle with a laptop?" Bejeweled? Love, it's Tetris all the way.

A porthole? He has to snicker. "Drowning in all the work, are you? Struggling to stay afloat? Hit by waves of paperwork?"

It doesn't hurt you to mix it up a little, darling. With exploding gemstones, clearly. Also all the eyerolls."What, no 'capsized by the spreadsheets'? I'm disappointed, Liam. It's such an obvious and yet unusual choice."

"I didn't want to drench you with puns, Kitkat." The more he talks, the more ridiculous the nicknames get. "And how bad can it be, being below sea level? Isn't it better down where it's wetter, take it from me?"

It's only a matter of time until they get to KittyKat, and at that point she's going to have to put a stop to those nicknames. "That's what I hear, Sebastian, but wouldn't you be the expert?"

<333 What amuses me most is that one of her future children is named Liam.

... She named her son after him didn't she. Awwww. XD JK
