Here be rules and explanatory things!~
1. Taking part is not mandatory! If you wish to test-drive a new muse, here's the place, but if you'd rather app them without testing - that's perfectly legit, too. :3

2. There are suggestions for scenarios behind the cut. You can use the RNG to roll a relationship and a situation, but you are absolutely free to come up with a scenario of your own. It's more like a friendly suggestion/bit of inspiration from out side.~

3. You may voicetest as many characters at once as you like, and testing them here doesn't make apping mandatory. It's supposed to help you get a hold on the character's voice and to help you decide whether they would fit into the setting or not.

4. Please, keep the following in mind:
a) nothing that happens in this meme is canon or has to be taken into the game. This applies to both the CR and the situation at hand - though if you like it? Talk about it and make it canon once your muse got in.~
b) taking part does not assure that your muse will get into the game.
c) it's just a meme. It's here to help and to have fun, nothing more, nothing less.

Short description: Three to five short sentences that will give some basic information on your character. Don't link to an already written app/the character's whole history/an essay on their personality. It's just supposed to be a synopsis.

As stated above, here is a list of the relationships and scenarios you can roll out in case you don't want to come up with something else or just like randomness a lot.

Relationships
1. Acquaintances - You have seen each other around, but rarely exchanged more than a couple of words. Time to chance that!
2. Friends - What it says on the tin. Maybe you've known each other for a long time, maybe not - whichever works best.
3. Colleagues - For some reason, you two work together a lot - be it cross-suit work or inter-suit things, you keep ending up doing important stuffs together.
4. Lovers - What it says on the tin. Secret or not, just crushing or close to married, it's The Wuv between you two.
5. Exes - When No. 4 went bad. This may or may not get awkward.
6. ENEMIES - You hate each other. That's all there is to say.
7. ??? GO WILD!

Situations
1. Surprise!assignment - For some reason, your King/Queen/whoever decided you two should work together on a gloriously random project. Even crackier when it's off-suit.
2. Suddnely, date. - Can be a blind date, an assignment taking a funny route or an Actual Date (or whatever else, really). Go out, have fun. Wheee.
3. Challenges! - Either that person challenged you, or you challenged that person, or you are going to challenge soon or ... whatever challenge-related scenario you want to have here.
4. Morning After - What happened last night? Where are we? I have no idea, you play it out.
5. Party, PARTY! - It's time to celebrate a thing! IDEC what thing! Maybe it's a masquerade or a fun evening at the Four Suits Pub...
6. Bad Day - For all your emo needs. One person has a bad day, the other comforts them. Or makes it worse. Or anything else.
7. ??? GO WILD.

Character Rank/Suit: Two of Hearts (formally a high ranking Spade)
Short description: 35 years ago, 34 year old Leonardo Perugia was a high ranked Spade and a political force to be reckoned with; a man feared and respected. Unfortunately, his opinions of the direction of the Spades should clashed with King Sean but Perugia had so much influence that Sean killed Leonardo's family instead of killing 'the Lion' himself. Leon sought revenge that was dubbed the 'Rampage' and a few of Sean's loyal cards were killed by Perugia before he managed to escape to the Outside. In 2000, several years after Sean's death and Medea's death, an old Italian gentlemen petitioned to become a Two of Hearts and quietly began to live in the woods within Heart Castle territory using the name 'Leon'. A quiet man, grumpy, and grim; Leonardo doesn't quite consider himself a suit of anything anymore and his old pride has been replaced by humility and loss. But he'll still hit you with his cane if you mess with his gardens, birdhouses, or try to steal his long swords. :|

Indeed, Cayden had come across those gardens and the birdhouses. They were gorgeous! Super lovely, she couldn't help but explore a little bit as she carried the bag of tea that she had been bringing out to the older man she'd heard had lived out here. After all, a kindness given was a kindness that was often returned in the form of a friendship. After a few moments of exploring, however, she made her way on up to the house and lightly tapped on the door.

Why not? After all, she had no reason not to be kind to anyone. No one had ever done her a wrong...well, at least, no one within the Deck. She had no hard feelings for anyone here; her eyes sparkled as she waited patiently for the door to open, though patience was relevant. She was bouncing on her heels.

She was just returning some books, but it's hard not to get sidetracked when the librarian is behind his desk, glued to his phone and if Victor accuses of her being glued to her phone again, she's using Liam as an example of Really Glued to the Technology playing Angry Birds. She loves Angry Birds. She missed all the events of the Spade masquerade the year before because she was behindat a pillar in a horrible angel costume playing...Angry Birds.

"You need a sharper angle on the catapult, otherwise you'll never knock through all the blocks to kill the pig."

Hmph. He knows his games. But you're Zoe, so you get an amused look as he glances away from his Android for a moment. And he is definitely the Glued-est to technology, ever. Look at these computer screens. Four of them. Who needs four large screens? Apparently Liam.

"As much as your advice is cherished, I bet you've yet to beat my high score, Kattalakis." He does adjust the angle of the catapult slightly, though. After a few moments of squawking, the message "New High Score!" flashes across the screen.

Short description:She's a BAMF grand dame with a deadly aim who left her Spade roots when she was twenty-five, when, instead of assassinating her mark (a certain heartfelt King) she fell in love with him instead and became his paramour. She's been a Heart for years and years now, and over time, her former Spade family has (pretty much) stopped trying to make an example out of her for deserting them and she has stopped fertilizing her roses with bone and blood meal. Well, different times, my loves. Different times. Not many remember when she was the shining star of the Spades, the up and coming cleaner and wetwork specialist. Infiltration was her forte. Maggie is well-placed in the middle of the suit. She likes it that way. She draws little attention and is left to her work. And what is that? Why protecting the interests of the Hearts, whether they know it or not.

Short description: He's Laureline Novak's younger brother (though 'young' here is relative since he's just a bit over 40). Tends to be quite content to remain out of the limelight. Is a better-than-competent fighter (hence how he managed to challenge up to 8 when he was young and hold on to it for this long) but leaves most of the scheming to his sister. Isn't particularly displeased about the new regime in the Spades, no matter what side of the fence various members of his family are on. Had a [fraternal] twin brother who died when they were twenty. Had a wife, once, who died in childbirth in 1996. Hasn't pursued any relationships since then.

Hadyn was up and moving again, and despite her worries- she was happy to see it. It did, however, leave one last strand to be rid of, however. But no matter what she said, or to whom she said it? Hadyn and Elisha seemed intent on growing yet closer and closer. The Club was in her way. Elisha had already inspired one rebellion, and how long until another case arose? Hadyn was a restless boy, always looking back to the Spades with a barely tempered desire to return to a place he had no chance of a future in.

Were all children so blind as to not see what a mother had done for them?

It was vexing, and the greatest of her worries. There was the chance that Hadyn would leave the Hearts, and at the rate his attentions seemed to turn else where....would he even listen to her counsel for much longer?

It was with these troubled thoughts that she found herself in the company of her brother- a voice that had not yet, with hope, become mute to a growing child.

Since Laureline had joined the Hearts, their meetings had become less frequent, of course. If only because, even if they were siblings, if other, too-suspicious, Cards saw them speaking with one another too often, they would likely suspect something nefarious was happening. At least a little silly of them, Davin thought. Despite the reputation their family had tended to garner...Laureline was his sister. It would be stranger of him to not see her at all.

Wordlessly, he'll hand her a glass of her preferred beverage with something like empathy in his eyes. "And what has you so worried?" It was rare, after all, for Laureline to appear so...shadowed.

Short description:Mel is the stable-master of the Diamond stables (Nines and higher) and the communal Deck stable (Eights and lower). Deck-born into the Hearts, she switched Suits at fifteen and became a Diamond, causing her world-wandering mother to leave the Deck for good. She challenged to Three, then to Four, but after her Spade ex-fiance was killed by David in a challenge, Mel turned her back on the courts and focused entirely on her work with the horses. It's been almost twenty years since then and she's still a Four, still overseeing the stables, and still caring in her gruff, no-nonsense way about her friends.

Avery's never actually owned her own horse. There's a charming gelding in the Deck stable that she's been riding for three years, a bitch of a mare she and three other people argued with on a regular basis before that - and so on. But it's odd, on the rare occasions that she breezes through the stables to see the Jack of Diamonds' stall empty. Hector's horse is in the Tens' stalls. Helena's went home with her.

So talking to Mel about horses is today's excuse for getting out of the office as well as her excuse to get out of heels and otherwise polished and professional clothes.

Short description: Originally a Club and was a very friendly and laid-back one at that. She switched to the Diamonds in 1998 after the death of her brother, Wengcheng Tung, who was generally believed to have been poisoned by the Cruz but there's no definite proof of this. Related to Andrea Well through her aunt/Andrea's mother, Dao-Ming, and is semi-close to her. Can be best be described these days as a 'sourpuss' and 'workaholic' due to her demanding jobs as both a general, on-demand assistant to Cards of higher rank to help them with evil paperwork and vice president of Tung & Associates which is a structural engineering firm. Will always be glued to her Blackberry and is not afraid to frown in Disapproval at people if they overwork themselves/do something stupid/call her by her real name.

Short description: Laureline as a Heart is a very calm, stable force. She doesn't show her hand or her thoughts. For those old enough to remember- she's more an a capable fighter, and easily could have been a higher ranked Heart. But for her own reasons she chose to remain as a three and act as a school teacher. She's hard to get a compliment out of, but rarely makes stinging remarks these days. However, she's very much in control of her own fate- and the fate of her boys. She's a Mastermind, a woman with a plan to take control- but not before the timing is right. And she is more than willing to use the situation in the Deck to her advantage. Just a matter of time, now. In her eyes.

Where he'd come from...he'd been one of the best fighters there. Maybe the best. Even here, even as young as he is, he's still one of the better fighters, already. At least, that's what he's seen.

Which is why it was such a shock the first time he sparred with Laureline and had to pick himself up off the floor while she stood over him and looked down at him coolly. He hadn't complained though, he hadn't made excuses. He'd just gotten up and they'd gone at it again. She made him work hard, it was true...by why would he complain about that? When she was making him better.

Even if their latest training session has left him practically exhausted, enough to have him covered in sweat and drooping as they finish for the day. "...sometimes I am not entirely convinced you aren't actually trying to kill me," he says, wry, his words still laced with the hint of an Eastern European accent he hasn't quite managed to purge from his voice yet, for all he's tried.
