Voicetesting Meme!~

... as announced a while back.

Here be rules and explanatory things!~
1. Taking part is not mandatory! If you wish to test-drive a new muse, here's the place, but if you'd rather app them without testing - that's perfectly legit, too. :3

2. There are suggestions for scenarios behind the cut. You can use the RNG to roll a relationship and a situation, but you are absolutely free to come up with a scenario of your own. It's more like a friendly suggestion/bit of inspiration from out side.~

3. You may voicetest as many characters at once as you like, and testing them here doesn't make apping mandatory. It's supposed to help you get a hold on the character's voice and to help you decide whether they would fit into the setting or not.

4. Please, keep the following in mind:
a) nothing that happens in this meme is canon or has to be taken into the game. This applies to both the CR and the situation at hand - though if you like it? Talk about it and make it canon once your muse got in.~
b) taking part does not assure that your muse will get into the game.
c) it's just a meme. It's here to help and to have fun, nothing more, nothing less.

5. For the voicetesting characters only: please fill out the short form below:.

Player name: Your name/online alias
Character name: Your character's name.
Character Rank/Suit: The rank your character holds and the suit they are in.
Short description: Three to five short sentences that will give some basic information on your character. This could include their occupation (or whether they are new to the deck), mention existing relationships to characters already in the game (as long as that has been discussed with the character's muns) and maybe a few words on the character's personality. Don't link to an already written app/the character's whole history/an essay on their personality. It's just supposed to be a synopsis.

As stated above, here is a list of the relationships and scenarios you can roll out in case you don't want to come up with something else or just like randomness a lot.

Relationships
1. Acquaintances - You have seen each other around, but rarely exchanged more than a couple of words. Time to chance that!
2. Friends - What it says on the tin. Maybe you've known each other for a long time, maybe not - whichever works best.
3. Colleagues - For some reason, you two work together a lot - be it cross-suit work or inter-suit things, you keep ending up doing important stuffs together.
4. Lovers - What it says on the tin. Secret or not, just crushing or close to married, it's The Wuv between you two.
5. Exes - When No. 4 went bad. This may or may not get awkward.
6. ENEMIES - You hate each other. That's all there is to say.
7. ??? GO WILD!

Situations
1. Surprise!assignment - For some reason, your King/Queen/whoever decided you two should work together on a gloriously random project. Even crackier when it's off-suit.
2. Suddnely, date. - Can be a blind date, an assignment taking a funny route or an Actual Date (or whatever else, really). Go out, have fun. Wheee.
3. Challenges! - Either that person challenged you, or you challenged that person, or you are going to challenge soon or ... whatever challenge-related scenario you want to have here.
4. Morning After - What happened last night? Where are we? I have no idea, you play it out.
5. Party, PARTY! - It's time to celebrate a thing! IDEC what thing! Maybe it's a masquerade or a fun evening at the Four Suits Pub...
6. Bad Day - For all your emo needs. One person has a bad day, the other comforts them. Or makes it worse. Or anything else.
7. ??? GO WILD.

"He is out growing me, I fear." She said after a moment, staring into the glass she held. It was rare, even hard, to express these doubts and fears- but every mother did at some point in her life, did she not? Every mother knew there would come a time when her son would seek out his own misfortune and turn a deaf ear to her wisdom.

"The Club sways him more than I thought," she went on with a sigh. "Perhaps it is my fault- perhaps I did not teach him as well as I thought." For surely if she had, Hadyn would not be so lost to the wiles of emotion and physical passions.

He would be more like his brother.

Perhaps it was growing up in the Hearts moreso than the Spades. Perhaps it was merely a quirk of genetics. They could say perhaps over so many things.

So Davin shook his head slightly, "I may never have been a mother but I don't think you can necessarily blame yourself. There are too many variables, after all." And even she couldn't control all of them. "....but would it be so wrong to give him this space? He'll only chafe against you if you try to hold too tightly." And it seemed like it would be more suitable to engineer things so that Hadyn decided to leave the Club -- as she termed Elisha -- on his own.

And of course, if she wished, Davin would help.

Let go? Laureline almost balked at the idea before sighing softly and closing her eyes. Thin fingers rubbed at her temples before she nodded slowly. She could see what Davin meant- even if the risk was high. Hadyn's choices had to be his own, even to give up the foolishness about learning Medicine.

"Perhaps, then, you could help a poor mother." She mused as she gave him a soft small. He seemed so old, then. No older than her, but she felt the age as it settled in her bones. Fifty wasn't so old, but at the moment she felt...ancient.

"You should have married again," she said after a moment, reaching out to run her fingers affectionately across his cheek. "She would have wanted you happy." A rarity in their family- But Davin had lost so much in his years. A brother- a twin brother, a wife...a child.

If she truly wanted Hadyn do reach his potential and lead a Suit...well, he'd have to be capable of making his own decisions, and his own mistakes, without her always there to tell him what to do.

Her first comment earns her a wry smile, "you know I always will, Laureline." And he gently bumped her shoulder with his as if to confirm that. They were in this together, of course. That's what family was for.

Her second comment causes the smile to flicker and fade even if he doesn't move away from her touch. "I am happy." Of course, it was a lie. But who else could have replaced Tulia? Who else would he have wanted to?

"Are you?" She wasn't sure she believed it, or that he believed that. Her heart had broken for him when Tulia had died, and worse yet- the child. But he was strong, like all Bernards. He endured- as she endured.

"How long, do you think, it would take Hadyn to come around to a more...thoughtful pairing?" One that wasn't as prone to...issues as the one with The Club.

There was no point in continuing the lie so he just ignored her question. They both knew the truth behind the lie and it was an old argument, anyway. Still, it was good to be reminded how she cared.

"It would depend, I imagine, on how long it would take to find a suitable partner for him. Unless you had one in mind, already?"
