So this is Charlie, the spade Tailor, recently returned from the world at large. He was born into the deck and I would love it if anyone had any ideas on some past CR they might have.

This is my first character in HoC so I am just a bit nervous. Mostly excited though. I've been watching from afar for I guess a year now? ish?

Hi! I'm Marie, and I have the following pups.

This is Sandy, a six of Hearts who has been o Deck for 5 years but has connections with the Deck due to her late mother. She's perky, fairly sweet, a touch loopy. She's also an artist and has high interest in anything related to art and that includes fashion. However, she'd had a fear of Spades drilled into her and only in the last few months has Sandy been talking to Spades. (And how!)

wiredspade, this is Meghana Sankaran. She's deck born and one of the few families from India. She's the IT head of the Spades and is considered a peacock badass. She's also a Ten and likes to protect Twos if they're not... you know, doing something stupid. Don't be doing something stupid Charlie.

schoollikenew this is Christopher Kahl, a five of Clubs. Tall, quiet, but kind for the most part when you first meet him. He has something of a quiet and sarcastic streak but loyal and open minded. He's Outsider born with no connections to the Deck but has been on Deck for 10 years and currently tutors the Ace of Clubs.

:O I'm Violet, and it's great to meet you! My Spade is just as new as yours, so I'm sure we can pull together some CR. I have Five Characters:

Liam here, a Seven of Spades, who is a mostly apathetic video gamer. He's also the Spade librarian. He... does not care much for clothes, but I'm sure he knows Charlie at least, the two of them being the same suit.

The one Charlie's more likely to know is Adrien Fitzgerald (black0and0white), Six of Diamonds. He's big on fashion - models on the side, adores buying clothes, etc. He was also a former Spade before he ran away when he was 18. He's 26 now, so depending on the age difference, they probably knew each other!

My other characters are Blythe Merrick (somuchheart), Ten of Hearts; Lexa Castillo (theloudestroar), Two of Clubs; and Piper (eucre), the Joker. It's so great to meet you! I hope you have fun here, and I'm really looking forward to tagging you. :D

Charlie is 25 and also ran away when he was 18 so WHAT A COINCIDENCE. Of course he came back and was still a spade when he came back. I am sure he will LOVE TO SELL ADRIEN lots of clothes. Finally. Someone with a sense of style. As long as Adrien doesn't wear toe-socks they probably get along splendidly.

I have five people here-

Victor, Ten of Spades (morallydefunct), is the most likely of mine to have any sort of close CR with Charlie. Mostly because Victor has no idea how to dress in anything but three piece suits these days. He will be the quiet guy that is always in need of a tailor because :| Victor is a tiny guy and no one makes suits fit well off the shelf. So yes. Come, Charlie, come be his bff.

The others are:

Hadyn, Seven of Hearts (this journal). He was born a Spade, but moved to the Hearts with his mother and brother when he was 8 years old. If Charlie was born and raised on the Deck and in the Spades, he might know him (or of him at least).,

Ceiro, King of Hearts (heartafterheart)- They probably don't talk. If only because XD Ceiro just much care for the suits. It isn't his thing, also he has Heart Tailors and such.

Addy, Eight of Clubs (escapeandevade)- The quite Club guy that doesn't talk much. He probably doesn't even know who Charlie is.

Laureline, Three of Hearts (bitchofhearts) Hadyn and Jordan Novak's mother. Former Ten of Spades, former combat trainer of the Spades. She left the suit 12 years ago after secretly murdering her husband and then went about blaming David for the man's death. She's....a plotter. And Charlie probably doesn't want to know her- but he's welcomed to have been trained by her. :)

I'd be cool with Hadyn and Charlie having known each other as kids. Charlie is 25 so I'm not sure what their ages would have been but we could figure it out.

Yeah he will probably not be terribly fond of Laureline but she could have trained him in combat if she starts fairly young. He would have been 13 when she left the spades.

[starscrownher] Urania Apollonides, Six of Spades: He likely knows her as that woman who possibly actually thought she was a Greek muse. She's kind of stopped that, though. I don't know if Charlie does women's tailoring too, if so Urania might take things for alterations.

[headfollowheart] Zoe Kattalakis, Four of Spades: Depending on how long Charlie's been gone, it's entirely likely that Zoe was a Heart when he left. She challenged across as a Four in late January. She also dates Victor, so if Charlie makes/alters Victor's suits, they might know of each other that way - but then again, it's just as likely they don't, so it's up to you.

[heartsthespades] Jordan Novak, Nine of Hearts: Born a Spade like his younger brother, he switched to the Hearts at thirteen, but he still has a lot of friends in the Spades. He's also a fan of fine tailoring, so I'd be willing for him to be one of Charlie's clients.

[uncutclarity] Avery Hamilton, Jack of Diamonds: Has a penchant for sleeping with Spades, so Charlie might see her in and around the Castle - but it's unlikely they know each other beyond that.

[cipherspeak] Elisha Kagan, Ten of Clubs: Elisha is the Clubs' resident closet Spade spymaster and friends with a few actual Spades (and frenemies with the Jack). He knows of everyone Charlie, so he knows of you. :D He does tend to dress more casually, but he owns Savile Row suits for necessary occasions. However, he probably uses a Club tailor for them.

He does indeed tailor for women when they don't make a big fuss about him being a guy. He's pretty professional when he's working, other than a few misplaced mischosen comments against certain people's sense of style.

He was out of the deck for 7 years and just got back, but while they might not know each other yet, they certainly can get to know one another now?

Either way Charlie will always love clients, and possibly knew Jordan from when he was a spade, at least as far as saw each other around.

Charlie might be slightly unnerved by people spying on him but he also expects it a bit. He grew up in the spade castle, so make of that what you will. He's a closet diamond anyway

I have a Club - Rylan, and if Charlie's not a doody-head, Ry'd be up for drinks and XBox shenanigans.
2 Spades, Maeve and Brennan. Brennan's the tattooist/piercer, Maeve's the mortician/medical examiner. Maeve, I doubt Charlie would be able to pull her out and chat, but you're certainly welcome to try. Brennan's affable and easy going, and rides a motorcycle. He lives/works in town.

Rylan - Charlie is no hard core gamer but he's take the drinks and some overly competitive casual gaming that he will likely be terrible at. He has good hand-eye coordination but he's not much of a strategist.

Welcome, hun! I'm Drea and I have two gals here in HoC. This journal is for Rachel, the Queen of Diamonds-- previously the Ace of Diamonds, which if I'm recalling dates correctly is the rank she would've held when he left. She's a bit of an Ice Queen, but she's starting to melt.

My other girl is one who yours will probably know or at least come to know better. Her name is Calypso Apollonides-Montrose (ogygianspade) but she would've just been Calypso Apollonides when he left. She comes from a very old Spades family. I think they actually also left the Deck at around the same time-- her twin sister was killed by Victor sevenish years ago and she left the Deck shortly after because she couldn't deal. She ended up settling in a medium-sized town in Texas, but she wandered around a bit, too, so they may have seen each other?

Anyways, those are just some of my ideas. Welcome again to the game! <3

Annie's the one who'd probably know him since they're closest in age (she's two years younger), and it's possible they grew up together in the Spades? Charlie might also have known Annie's deceased older brother Jimmy, who'd have been a year older than him.

Annie and Jimmy left the Spades when Charlie was 12. Your profile doesn't state when he left, but Annie would have returned when Charlie was 19, so depending on your timeline, he'd have seen her briefly or now would be his first time seeing her in many years.

Beyond that... Charlie and bluntforces are Deck-babies of the same age, and Evan likes being friends with everybody all the time. Thoughts?

I think it would be awesome if Charlie and Evan could have known each other growing up. He could be angry with the wayward spade too if he wanted, or surprised. Charlie pretty much left without telling anyone because he didn't want to get stopped.

I play Lisa, the precious-est little Heart ever to precious. She's eight years old and a very bright, cheery little girl. She probably has no recollection of Charlie because, as I said, she's eight, but she is always making friends. And her parents are horrible and don't escort her anywhere, so she's almost always meeting people alone. XD She's training to be the bittiest butler, so if Charlie needs help, Lisa will gladly be the first in line. Don't judge her by her size. :| Deck baby, though, so yay.

I've also got Amy, who was a Six of Spades until about a month ago, when some Epic Drama got her knocked back to a Two and her position as a castle guard stripped from her. She had a habit of disrespecting pretty much everyone but David (K♠) and Ethan (7♠) and Rylan (6♣), and is probably the most abrasive character I have ever played. She's pretty hated IC, not gonna lie, but she's my girl. I can't help it. XD Deck baby here.

Silas is the new King of Diamonds (no, really, he's literally only been King for two days), but he's been in the Deck for ten and a half years. Last month he was promoted to Ten after being a Nine for two years, and then Saturday he successfully challenged to King. He's calm, quiet, and collected, usually, but he has a major problem with physical contact, which is the product of Childhood Trauma which, while I'm aware of it, has only come out to one person IC in...ten years. :| Seriously, touching him will send him into an anxiety fit and that is Not Good For Anyone. He also has expensive tastes and would prefer a well-constructed tailor-made suit to a tailored well-machine-made store-bought one any day of the week, so there's no doubt that he's glad for Charlie to be back - as long as he's 1) not adverse to working for any paying customer, Suit aside; and 2) good at his work. Silas is one of four Deck Daddies™, which means that he...kind of adopts the wayward children who don't have parent figures in their lives. Seriously, he's a Nice Guy with Major Issues that he hides well behind a Diamond Mask. He's from the Outside -- Detroit to be specific~

Last, but not least, is Vane here. He was previously a She and went by Grailene before leaving home. He's Greylan Harker's twin and a Deck baby, was a Heart until he was sixteen, then moved to Clubs because that's where he felt he belonged. He was gone for eight years and has only just returned within the last few days, sporting an Epic Mane of hair and a shiny new name (Erylivane OBNOXIOUS MIDDLE NAMES HERE Harker). He's twenty-six now, and while he's still physically very female, he's been trying to pass for a while and has gotten fairly good at it. Just. He sounds like Julia Roberts. :| Also, he's a fully-licensed nurse with a crazythick Polish accent.

So I currently have two characters with me:

Andrea Cruz-Well (awearytraveler) -- Four of Spades: Five years older than Charlie. If I'm correct, he left the Deck when he was only 18 right? That meant he knew Andrea when she was growing up and was there when she made her epic leave of the Deck for an Outsider she liked. Back then, she was a manipulative, heartbreaking badgirl who used and manipulated people for fun and advantage. These days, she's mostly mellowed out due to difficulties in her life. They could know each other if you want.

Danielle Tung (lightsthejewels) -- Seven of Diamonds: Thirteen years older than Charlie. Club-turned-Diamond. Might not know him at all since, when younger, she avoided the Spades like the plague due to hearing of their reputation and the fact a Spade could have possibly killed her brother. Might have heard how bubbly and sweet she was then but these days she's sharp and straightlaced, works in the IM (Information Management) of the Diamonds.
