Yeah, so. Most people probably have some kind of CR with him already, but if we want to discuss how it might change after he challenges Alexander, this would be the place.

Edit: But for the new ones.

Elisha has been a Ten of Clubs since last September. Prior to King Andrew's death, he was a Six and the court artist for the Clubs; however, the king's assassination woke him up to a degree and he decided he needed to stop hiding, as it were, and actually use the skills he'd developed before the Deck as a military spy and assassin for the Israel Defense Force. For the last year, then, he's been developing an intelligence network and butting heads with Alexander. Just recently he finally decided it was time to stop undermining the King's militarization campaign and just challenge him in order to end it.

Elisha might note that Karin will subtly distance herself from him, no longer coming to him for help when an issue is beyond her power to resolve. In fact, if he thinks about it, once he's announced as King officially, he'll see it coming: Karin sees her job as making sure the King and Queen don't have to dirty their hands with domestic concerns. Elisha is now the King. She'll be looking for someone else to use as her "big stick", instead.

You tell me how you want to work with that--I'm just giving you Karin's mindset and intentions now.

Okay, okay. Katya will be happy for Elisha but pout if she finds out he told Julien but not her (but not a real pout). She will attend if the challenge is open.

Sophie will, hmmm, she didn't really know Alexander. She knows Elisha a little and likes him well enough. She'll also may have shown up to watch if it was open.

Cooper, also watched. He didn't think much of the attempt to turn the Clubs into a martial suit. He doesnt know Elisha, so not sure what to expect.

Maggie will just smile (and also may have been there).

I will have to think on how Elani will react. I guess she'd be glad for him making it so high (and secretly glad about the lessened push on martial arts in the Suit, etc) but I think she will be a little surprised since she's not really aware of his "real" job. Also maybe a bit awkward around him at first.

I don't think either Davin or Johnny would be affected in any way, really, considering neither really talks to him.

Gustave might send him a pie. =P

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the sound of the Jack of Clubs doing her level best and failing but at least the effort was made not to do a victory dance. Someone, somewhere, should be recording this for posterity and future humiliation.

They will have to talk at some point, of course -- not that I imagine she has anything to share that he probably doesn't already know -- but on the whole I don't think anything is really going to change too spectacularly.

Danielle won't mind Elisha being King. Since anyone compared to Alexander, to her personal and private opinion, will be a better King and Elisha has proven himself to be a capable Ten since then from what she's heard. She only hopes he'll gently lead back to the Clubs' old ways of arts and crafts like before and keep the Suit safe and sound.

Andrea also won't mind Elisha becoming King as well~ She'll be polite(r) to him when she learns of his status and send congratulatory sweets or messages to him. Maybe a knitted outfit for Q too.

Atalanta here is the Head of Training for the Suit of Diamonds. She's a Deck-baby from a minor family, and has been a Diamond her whole life. Anyone who went to the Deck school at the same time as her would remember how bad a student she was, and the contrast between that and her love of physical pursuits is something of a Thing.

Tally runs a summer camp training program for under-fifteens of all Suits, and she trains the Diamond adults. As such, she has a strong working knowledge of the fighting styles of most Diamonds and many of the youngest members of other Suits.

Those with a nost for politics may note that Tally sat at Eight for eight years, until Helena became Jack. She took Nine just last year, due to not trusting Helena to be the Jack the Suit needed. She fully supports Avery, though.

I imagine she and Cadogan have knowledge of each other, particularly if she challenged up to keep an eye on Helena. He would have challenged past her about three years ago, and likely had thoughts about her moving up in relation to his little sister.

She and Avery know each other, and seem friendlyish from their one thread. And will likely continue to be, even after Avery drops down to Ten for medical reasons. I suspect they train together, and Avery sticks her nose in to help with sword and hand-to-hand training occasionally when she needs to blow off steam.

Have a Kingface. I don't even know what to suggest here, but. He's the new King. He was Nine for two years, has been on Deck for ten and a half, last month got bumped to Ten and then challenged Ashley for King. He thinks he's doing pretty all right, but. Y'know. POV. :|

He doesn't like the fight training, not even a little, but he does acknowledge it as a necessary evil, so there is that.

As previously discussed, Isaac is her at times reluctant, very occasionally insolent but still dedicated trainee, and is always happy to take on the challenge of taming her mane hair.

Oliver could help out with the summer camp thing, potentially. He runs the Spade armoury, e.g., all the practise foils you could eat. Or. Practise with.

And I'm sure Wren would love to drag her out for some girly girl times. Just because. That's what Wren does.

No Diamonds from me, alas -- Nico does have a cousin, Lydia, who is also a Nine, and so might have been seen around the place somewhat. He's also a sort-of-friend of Avery's IDEK.

Tegan probably knows her -- or of her, at least. But then, Tegan seems to know everyone. I'm starting to think it might be her superpower. She may also want to bend Tally's ear at some point about her Plans -- mainly to get some kind of standardized education for all the Deck kids. And, you know, possibly to talk shop.

Margo Alder | Three of Clubs

Considering both Margo and her mun are new to the HoC, the recent upheaval in the Deck may have little effect on her. However, I am sure that she will be eager to learn of Elisha's challenging up to King.

Margo is not exactly new to the Deck, having grown up there, but she has spent much of her adult life Outside so a lot will have changed from the way she remembers it. She is quite an affable person so I'm sure she won't cause too much trouble; hopefully the same applies to her mun. ;p

I suppose now would be a good time for me to say that I am honoured to be writing among all the amazing people here. I know some of you from interactions with your (mostly mythology-based) muses. Now I must go and poke Angela for family history details so our sisters are on the same page.

I'm Qi, and of my four and a half ridiculous things running around here, my guess is that Margo would be most likely to know Eileen (this little punk here, A♣), whom most Clubs know at least peripherally because she's been Ace for the last six years (and most Clubs have an opinion about, since she was... six when they made her Ace) and bluntforces (4♣), who's about 3/4 years younger than she is, also a Club Deck-baby and entirely prone to heading off-Deck with terrible frequency. He's also a McCartney, which is secret code for "wants to be everyone's friend please come dance with him he loves you." Thoughts? :D

Hey everyone! Fresh meat here. I'm Aura and this here is Noel. She's a deck baby from a really low profile (if financially successful) family. Not that it matters because she's the only Meister alive.

And she's one of those rare breed Jokers, of course. For the world at large, Noel is charismatic, entertaining, smart, easy going and prone to enter and leave the scene with rather amazing acrobatics. She's a bit childish at times, and has a bit of an irreverent way to talk, but it you're not overly serious or overly strict she's probably on good terms with you. She's been a Joker for the last five years, right after challenging and killing her parents, so I want all CR. All the CR you can throw me really.

Those that read her app probably know already, but most of what I wrote up there is just a facet of Noel. She's patiently waiting for the moment she can destroy the Deck and she's probably a bit of a sociopath (okay, not a bit); she has the habit to take down corrupted cards every now and then for the heck of it (never too often though) so if anyone wants plot for a failed assassination attempt (or maybe a successful one) she's your girl to go.

I have five. I am not sure CR-wise but am completely open.

Jordan here is a Ten of Hearts, but he's the scion of two very old Spade families, the Novaks and the Bernards. His mother moved them to the Hearts when he was twelve and was a devotee of the old Queen of Spades...so they might know each other that way.

Elisha [cipherspeak] is currently a Ten of Clubs/will be King on Sunday. He would have been in the Deck a mere two years when that shit went down. And probably raised all the eyebrows and then ignored it and went back to artisting. Probably on good terms with her. Would banter. Probably recognizes the sociopathy, but its the Deck, we're all crazy here.

Avery [uncutclarity] is currently Jack of Diamonds but is suffering an accident this week that will force her to resign and become a Ten again. Friendly, sweet, bubbly, bakes and sings. She sounds infuriating when I put it that way XD In charge of HR and PR.

Urania [starscrownher] is a Six of Spades, just got married last week and is pregnant (with triplets, but that's to be found out). She is from an ancient Spade family, the Apollonideses, with a quirky tradition of giving all the children odd mythological names. They were neutral...ish in Medea vs. David, but I imagine she's aware of Noel and the Meister family.

Zoë [headfollowheart] is a Four of Spades. However, she was born in Hearts and reached the rank of Seven there before throwing in the towel and challenging across to the Spades in January. The parental event is probably something she heard about, but she was fifteen when it happened and it probably was mostly Oh More Spade Drama at the time.

In short, Urania and Jordan are the most likely for previous CR, but happy to develop ensuing CR with the rest
