I imagine he has a vague notion of who Elisha is. He feels easier around him since he doesn't fret about a sudden command to do calisthenics. He's fascinated by his art (which he does not get at all and spends a deal of time attempting to bribe and cater to the true Ruler of the Clubs, Q.

Briony gets treated with all the deference due a Deck Princess, especially one with the excellent good sense to come to the Clubs.

Isaac always spoke most highly of the Lady Ace. He knows all the Faces by sight, but he respects and admires Avery since it's said she worked her way up and understands the ins and outs of Below Stairs.
