Heyheyhey~

Most of y'all know me. And Rachel. But here's the gist anyhooz: I'm Drea, GMT-6er and old timer of this particular block. :P

This is Rachel, former Queen of Diamonds. Also former Ace of Diamonds (some eight+ years ago.) And former Clubs before that. She's made a lot of life changes.

Most recently, she stepped down from the position of Queen after receiving a seemingly-paralyzing spinal cord injury in a fight against the Magician a few months back. She's since been off-Deck recovering and has recently been able to walk again, even though it's a slow process and she's still spending more time in the wheelchair than out of it. However, she's really missed the Deck, so she decided to continue her treatment there since it's mostly just PT and such from here.

In terms of CR, her months away have really triggered a bit of a change in the way she behaves now as opposed to when she was Queen. She's going to be a bit more open and a bit more fragile than she would have allowed herself to be, and hopefully that opens things up better for some real developments in relationships of all sorts. /o/

As for Caleb, the doctor is 4 years younger than Rachel and also grew up a Club. Judging from the mathing I've done, I think she left for the Diamonds a few months before he left the Deck. Again, whether or not they knew each other more than in passing, totes up to you~

Quick note from worky-work.

Clive as king will not be that much different from Jack Clive, though a bit more of the Bernard in him will come out. He has nothing against Katya, but does not trust Julien at all- so he'll be working to find certain peoples to put around him as a type of buffer- to be his eyes and ears.

So this is Diane. Also known as Di. She's the newest 2 of Spades and got stuck in housekeeping under Chives.

Outwardly, she's not overly pleased about this. Cleaning and polishing really isn't her forte.

But you know, servants hear things and she always did like some good gossip....

Katya will review whatever information she provided when she joined. It's a thing she does as head of HR. Besides, she likes to be familiar with her people. She may or may not interview her once she's settled in, sort of a "Welcome to the Spades, what skills do you possess, this is what we expect, blah blah blah" thing. She'll also observe her working when she's ostensibly showing up in the kitchens in search of tea or terrorizing encouraging people on one of her daily walks.

I don't see a reason why anyone else would meet her except out and about at some point, but we'll leave that up to when it happens. XD

Personalitywise, I feel like she and Eden would mesh fairly well. Especially at parties. Because man, this place needs more enthusiastic people and less corner-brooding loners. <3

Jack Donovan Maynard is a two of Clubs! Just recently arrived on neck, he's pretty much settling in slowly. Having been raised on a Ranch, he took the chance to get out of house-hold-like-chores and found a place to work in the barns and such.

Things to know- He's a Texas boy, born and bred. He grew up in Greenville, which is an hour east of Dallas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin with a full ride track scholarship, almost tried for the Olympics but his life took him in another direction. He is a father of a ten year old boy named Tucker, which means- yes, yes he did father the boy when he was 17.

He is on the Deck to learn all about the Deck's secrets after he finally started to look at all the stuff his former partner was investigating (Agent Hamish Ramsey, the gent that Ben and Victor killed in Prague), and convinced his superiors it was worth looking into. He also brought along two partners.

And of the three of them, yes, he is the adult here.

Please keep in mind that while it is plausible, and likely that someone will eventually catch on to what is going on? This isn't going to be an over night discovery that he is actually an Interpol agent. Thanks!

Well. Monty, his new boss, is on a few wanted lists himself. There was this messy mix-up with the Russian mob that left several Americans and a Brit dead and that one Andrew Dickens may have been involved in. Not sure if they'll be looking into Deck members, but there it is.

Monty'll keep him busy. Lots of stalls to muck out.

And this is Peter Wild Callender, a newly arrived Two of Diamonds, who got caught up with the two Yanks when MI-5 decided lending Interpol their top hacker was an excellent way to get him out of their hair. As such, the Diamonds have wisely shunted him into the IT dungeon, where he's keeping you all safe from viruses and probably having a look-see at the IT infrastructure backend while he's at it

Peter is 21, with an astronomical IQ and an undiagnosed case of hypomania - this means he sleeps very little, has somewhat wild mood swings, and is just generally one of those people you think of as more than a little bit crazy. He also has a tendency to be a bit of an ass and is usually completely convinced he's the smartest guy in the room (admittedly, this is often the case). His social skills are pretty terrible, because he spent his formative years being bullied at Harrow and his university years buried in labs at Cambridge. Having said that, he can come off as charming in a mile-a-minute sort of way.

Officially, only Diane and Jack know of his affiliation with MI-5, and people shouldn't figure it out immediately.

Depending on whether he's the only one holding up the IT department or just the bottom-rung flunky, Säde may take notice of him. Peripherally. Maybe. In the 'oh okay one thing less to worry about' manner of things.

Gideon Pryce

Pryce is a 4 of Clubs and newly anointed Club Butler since Karin was promoted. He's 23 and was born in the Deck to a Club family. His father was First Footman and his mother an upstairs maid. He was born into service, and service is his place.

Gideon learned Cornish folktales from his Mamwyn (grandmother) and due to life circumstances became rather superstitious (though he hides the fact). He's also OCPD with a set routine he cannot easily deviate from. If required to, he must start at the beginning and do everything over. Again, this is something he prefers to hide.

He has a bit of a drinking problem that surfaces in extreme times of stress. When he's on a bender, he's a completely different fellow, friendly, generous and outgoing.

Hi guys! I'm Ling and new to the game, bringing you a Danish Club.

This is Lasse Rasmussen, Eight of Clubs, certified design engineer, owner and chef of a restaurant in town, hobby gardener of some sort, Michael Brennan's secret-closet-romance-buddy-clandestine-affair-dirty-mistress-thingie, and, occasionally, bodyguard to the Clubs' Ace, Eileen.

He was born into the Clubs and was raised by his grandparents because his parents weren't exactly the responsible type. He served in the Danish army for a couple of years and spent some time in Denmark afterwards. Once back with the Deck, he started an engineering company but gave it away four years later to open a restaurant and pursue a career as a chef. So once upon a time, there was a girl named Amy. She was never a particularly happy girl, but she had a couple of people who mattered more to her than anyone else in the world. And then they all left and she was very sad. But now he's back and while things are all fucked up, she has no idea whether to punch him, hug him, light him on fire, or kiss his face. :||||

Also there was this dude named Pierre, and he was the bane of his father's existence, and since his father got on way too well with Sean AND Medea, he suffered a lot. We should hammer out CR for them, probably. :| Because they know each other to a degree (I THINK that timelines out, at least).

I think he gives no fucks about Silas' existence, though.

Is here =D What can I say. I'm a sucker for filling father lines and my sole reason of existence is to bring up the average character age of every RP I encounter >_>

I'll keep this brief. I'm not sure if he'd be like head chef or head of catering or something but anyway he takes care of all the meals in Spades Castle. In terms of personality he's not very different from Declán. 'Tightly-wound', as Qi puts it, or you know family history of being slightly deranged. Very polite, gets things done when he says he'll get them done and all other things Chives. The detailed personality and history is here (http://semper-serviam.livejournal.com/profile).

Outside of Declán, he spends a lot of time in the Spades' kitchen so I think that means he'll at least have some sort of connection with Diane, and all the other Spades should at least know him since he's been in their Castle for like 50 years. But I would definitely like to branch out if possible. Maybe other old Deck families or other chef peoples or something. I don't know. Throw someone at me and we'll make it work.

So really though, I think the Iollan-Declán relationship is pretty solidly established, although next time one of them posts, there will need to be hashing out of the mild attempt at standing up to Iollan his son is about to make for 'why would you throw away my little sister and not tell me I just I don't even this undermines your authority but also I want to make you proud still.'

Other than that, lowtohigh used to spend a lot of time in Spades because she's the 'niece' of the King and Queen before Clive and Katya (David and Athena, that is), so they've probably run into each other a few time. There's also the outside possibility that Iollan knew hamelinic's parents Osrik and Adeliza Invorian (Adeliza was a 2 in the kitchen up until about 30 years ago). But, you know. Cynric rarely ever comes to Spades to avoid such things as ever being recognized and tsked at, so.

And the other two...I don't think would have much reason to know him.
