there's plot afoot!
So as you all might have noticed, there've been rumblings here and there about various factions of Deckians (I just made that word up) who don't particularly approve of so many Outsiders in positions of authority in the Deck. Not just the ones who are Faces, but in some cases any Outsiders who aren't 'in their place' performing menial jobs, for instance. Steadily, the tension is growing. Particularly since the last couple of years have been something of a roller-coaster with little chance for proper resolution (the murder of Andrew didn't entirely settle well with a lot of people, the Arcana came from Outside the Deck [so to speak] and jacked things up, the Deck starts doing the shimmy every night, more people disappear and are never heard from again, etc) and many people see these as a sign of the failure of those in charge to lead the Deck as it ought to be led. Because they aren't true Cards.
So basically, we figure there's a recipe in here of tension and a bunch of people with well-honed violent tendencies just waiting for the right impetus to set off a conflict. Probably in the next couple of days you will see a post go up regarding vandalism in Town that leads to businesses getting trashed and things getting stolen which sets off a chain reaction. Soon there will be Cards demanding answers, protests, graffiti, duels in the streets, et cetera et cetera. Lines drawn between those who think the Outsiders should be ousted, those who think the Old Blood are being ridiculously bigoted. Those who just wish things could go back to normal. You get the idea.
But a lot of it will be up to you. We want you guys to play with this too as this isn't going to go away overnight. So if you think you've got a character who might end up coming down on the "actually maybe we should put some proper Cards in charge to fix things" side or characters that want to preserve the current way of things, please feel free to volunteer. You can also volunteer up your characters' businesses, homes, or offices (or whatever) for vandalism/theft/whatever floats your boat. And of course the requisite payback.
And if you've got general suggests or other ideas, please toss those in too.

Also, Sophie will murderize anyone who hurts Cadogan. Just saying. (Oh, okay. She knows he can handle himself but it would bring out all those protective instincts. OMG. Roisin? No one will hurt her, will they? Murderizing truly would happen then.)
I think Monty's my only other off Deck peep. Open for suggestions there.
ETA: Question? How many generations does it take before a family is considered "of the Deck"? The Bowens (Tess) didn't show up until right after WWI. Will things devolve to new bloods vs. old bloods eventually?

She was killed in a riot against her son's status in her original universe I can't with my own heart. Also, my guess would be that if people can't remember your family showing up, you're fine. So families for four generations or so would be okay unless they make a big deal about being 'new blood.' Thoughts from other people?

"Tea, Dear?"
"A cuppa sounds lovely. Just give me a mo to finish educating this young gentleman here on the error of his ways."
No one will hurt Roisin. Man, that's a part of Deck life never want her to see. D:

Best Golden Girls and least amount of breaking our hearts. ]o/

And Roisin does. She enjoys it very much. \o/

Maggie's quite open about what she used to do (a la Victoria in RED who she is based on). How will Roisin feel about that?

Meh. She's come to assume that half the people in the Deck are trained assassins and has gotten over it. If Maggie's okay with her praying on things, they'll be all right. o/

As for this Outsider plot, I would like to do something with my lovely xenophobic Christian Stark. He can't challenge but he can be part of the assassination attempt if you would like.

Christian probably should not unless you want him dead. I doubt any of the plotters will live one way or the other.
(I kind of want him to wander around and warn that Winter is Coming.)
ETA: He could be part of it, but his role shouldn't be found out. I think that may take some doing but could make for some fun plotting on your end?
