House of Cards OOC

So, there has been a bit of funny business here. I KNOW.

Basically it is this- Leona is a) 3 times more awesome to tag with, b) more talkative and c) Muzy convinced me. So I am playing a game of switch-a-roo. Leon is just going to fade away (He never quite jived just right in the deck. So he's going back to his original universe- Harry Potter Land). I'm dropping him, and not pretending he never existed...but sort of am. In his place will came his formerly genderswapped version- Leona Matthews. She has had a bit of a change added to her. She isn't exactly like him, now, so she is basically a new character.

As far as the deck goes- She is the head of the accounting department for Club Castle. She's a six, and sort of got there unconventionally. (drink contest, picking up numbers in a bar, mathematics, and....blackjack. Oh yeah.) Like Leon she is still an alcoholic in the finest order, she dabbles a bit with party drugs. She likes video games, Ladies, and pretty much getting her way when she wants something.

And on a whole, she is mostly nicer than Leon was. Unless your name is Elisha.

I know, I've been bad about playing my cards. I'm going to make a point to be more active with Kir and Isadore (and her male version) and Itchy.

I'm dropping Feste. Just not gonna work out, I think.

So, um...feel free to hit me about being a lazy bum. Or plot things with me.

You weren't kidding, Sophie. All the Diamonds are wandering off-Deck right now, and Mel is no exception. She's taking a week to visit a few ranches and stables, looking into new breeding stock, planning for the spring stud season, but she'll be back for the bonfire.

"Bonfire?" you say? "What bonfire?"

The bonfire that will take place on November 15th! In canon, it's an annual tradition that when all four Suits prepare their respective gardens for winter, they bring the trimmed branches and hedges and leaves and clippings and trees to an empty field on the edge of Diamond land and pile them all up for a month. On November 15th, they're lit into a bonfire to welcome in the coming winter. (There will be a post on November 14th to start it off, so it'll be the 15th for everyone.)

Why November 15th? Because out of canon, November 15th marks the House of Cards' half-birthday. Six months and going strong. ♥♣♦♠ you all.
