Okay, so here I am in Denver. This means I am: 1) temporarily in Mountain Standard Time (GMT -7) until Saturday afternoon, and 2) likely going to be very slow responding to tags. As I am making Thanksgiving dinner for four in a tiny efficiency-apartment kitchen. It will be fun times, but it will be busy times.

If there is essential plot-ness, PM me (I'm checking emails on my phone) and I will sneak away and phone-tag. Threads in progress might need to wait for backtagging, although I should have all notifs flagged. Normal service will resume Saturday afternoon (or evening, if I need a nap).

Katya Irisha Marinochka Krylenko, 10 of Spades, and nominally in charge of taking out the trash Human Resources.

Katya is Ukranian by birth, having grown up there and entering the Army, serving in a peacekeeping force in Kosovo and later a combat unit in Iraq. There she was recruited into the CSO A, where she earned the rank of Starshina. But women aren't often promoted in the Ukraine, particularly women who are known to beat their underlings for misbehavior. After one such underling was permanently brain injured, Katya was dishonerably discharged and considered lucky to have avoided jail time.

She drifted then, a well-honed weapon aimed at nothing, finally recruited by the Bratva (Brotherhood). Their first mistake was to think they could lure her into white slavery. Several bodies later, she came to an understanding with her Vor. Katya not only excelled at killing, she was clean, quick and efficient. Her looks gave her an in that most assassins lacked.

But a shift in power brought her former compatriots down on her. Things grew too hot. Four years ago she found the Deck and the Spades. Her skills allowed her the chance to challenge in at a higher level. She took advantage of that opportunity, entering as a Six and challenging up to her current level of Ten.

No one complained about the bodies left in her wake.

Katya is well-versed in Samozashchita Bez Oruzhiya (Sambo) and Krav Maga, as well as lovingly fond of a variety of weapons, particularly knives and garrottes.
