Hi! I'm Marie and a brand new player, though you might have played with taser_maiden or seen her around. I've seen you guys for a while and I've been interested but I decided I might as well stop peeking and try it and flail like mad.

I come bringing Lasandra Adare to you all, a six of heart and very content at being a six of heart. Sandy (to friends) is a child of an Outsider and the former Hearts court artist. She was raised in the Outside but heard stories from her mother. She finally saw the Deck when her mother became ill and when her mother died, she had to go back with her father to the Outside. But she fell in love with the place and returned after earning an art degree. She's still culturally an outsider though she tries her best to fit in. It's been her talent (and boy is she) that's helped her so far.

I suspect she hangs out with Outsiders a touch more than those raised in the Deck, however a few people within the Deck could have known her late mother, Diana.

Hello hello! I'm Muzy, and I have four. I know. The insanity.

The one Sandy is most likely to know is this one. Zoe Kattalakis, Four of Spades (as of...today, actually) and former Seven of Hearts who was born in Heart Castle. Twenty, currently the Jack of Spades' PA, dating with/semi-living with her boyfriend Victor, Nine of Spades. Used to be the accountant/money girl for the Hearts.

Then I have Elisha Kagan, Ten of Clubs (cipherspeak). Visual artist! They have things in common! Also, spy. Also, former Israeli intelligence general badass. He multitasks

And then there's Avery Hamilton, Ten of Diamonds (uncutclarity). Recently challenged to the top, getting used to her new duties. Heart-born, kind of a hippie, fabulous baker.

And finally, Urania Apollonides, Four of Spades (starscrownher) Astronomer, cartographer, girlfriend of Isaac, the Three of Diamonds butler. Remembers occasionally that she's pretending to be insane.

Zoe and Sandy might have things in common. Dead parents but it seems to be a common thing. However it looks like they were around the same age when their parent died. Bonding to could happen! And I suspect there won't be much beef with the Suit change. Things happen.

I'm not entirely sure if Elisha and Sandy would be much more than civil craftsmen. She's not so much shy as she is unsure and like he used to be with his artwork. Unlike him, though, she doesn't have so many ghosts and she might come off as a bit shallow. [I think Sandy needs to earn inner demons.]

And Avery is apparently a fighter too! Though she might go pester Avery for bread and the like. More art things. Sandy is such a 'old school' type when working on her paintings. She bounces from avant grad to barque with a blink of an eye.

i get this feeling Sandy will be a little wary to Urania. Very wary.

Zoe and Sandy should totally hang. Possibly with cocktails. Zoe isn't much of an artist - a math and finance girl - but her evil mother is a singer in the Hearts, so she was raised Among the Arts. XD And Avery's a fighter...in a way, but mostly a bubbly musical baking sweetheart. Most people forget about the fighting part, and she will totally provide baked goods. For the art.

Hello fellow heart! I'm Emer and one of my characters on deck is Beth here, the Eight of Hearts.

She came to the Deck when she was five years old with her mother who died a few years later so she has basically grown up on Deck most of her life but isn't technically a deckbaby. She's a hairdresser in the local Town and she's extremely bubbly and talks to pretty much everyone and anyone!

I also play Siobhan (notinnocentsio) the recently demoted Three of Spades. She doesn't really get on with anyone and doesn't have any friends on Deck at all. It's all her own doing of course as she's extremely rude and thinks she's pretty much better than anyone else. But she's working on it!

Hello Emer!

I'm already reading this (and seeing Beth on sws) and I think Sandy and Beth would get along fabulously. Both not deckbabies (but connected) and both fairly friendly. And since Sandy was somewhat desperate for friendship when she arrived on the deck 5 years ago, she might have gravitated to Beth. Lots of hair cuts.

Siobhan seems to be dangerous and I'm not sure if she would be friends with Sandy. It would not be the rudeness that gets to Lasandra. i get the feeling she lived in NYC so rudeness is pretty common.

There is a good chance Mel knows Sandy, Sandy does like to hunt for places to draw and could eventually end up knowing Mel and trying to befriend.

I'm thinking Frankie might know her via her mother, or that would be neat at the least to me? :D? Sandy's mother was born around the same time Frankie was.

I also suspect Dafydd might know Sandy, at the least second hand knowledge, if Sandy and Tegan are friends.

More than likely. When she first came to the deck, she was a sad little girl with her mother dying and her father pretty much strapped to her mother's bedside and half terrified of the Deck.

I see Isadore has fallen on hard times and there might be waryiness for her. Claudy may get along with Sandy because Sandy worked hard or... they may not? She is an outsider and seemingly a little out there.

I'm Violet, and I've got four characters here right now. First of all, this here Ten of Hearts, Blythe Merrick, who is very young, sweet, and also a badass reallly sweet? :D She takes care of the Hearts armory up in here and. They should be friends, 'nuff said.

I also have Adrien (black0and0white), a Six of Diamonds. He's flashy, flamboyant, fashionable (I love the alliteration too much with this kid), and will have probably tried to dress Sandy up at one point.

There's also Suzanne (superpsyched), a Two of Spades and the Spades psychiatrist. She's incredibly nervous and uncomfortable with social situations and people in general. One of those people who became a psychiatrist just to diagnose their own issues.

Then, finally, there's Piper (eucre), the Joker. She loves you, most likely, and birds, and striped socks. That's all. ^o^

Hi Melly! Hello to Andrea! They probably would love art together, Sandy was trained by her mother and cut her teeth on the classical technique. If you want to get Sandy upset and antsy, talk about some modern artists who don't know Rococo from Baroque. :D You gotta know what happened before to be an effective ruler breaker in the art world. :D
