Why hello~

Well hello~ My name is Signs and I've been convinced to come here by the lovely Myriad, who should get an award her enabling skills. Met in class, less than two hours later I'm checking out this place's site, next morning I've submitted an application. I'm a currently a fifth-year Asian Studies student ( yes I know my major is worthless ), I love meeting new people, and the best way to contact me is via AIM at TheWaywardI. Please note: I am often invisible, so please feel free to drop a message even if it says I'm offline. If nothing else, I'll probably get it in a couple of hours.

The incredible derp you see in these icons is Jesse Pennington, a six of Hearts, recently returned to the deck after a bit of soul-searching in the "real world" for the last ten years. If your character is around the age of 27, they might have crossed paths in their early teens, but he was probably at least a little more gangly back then. He likes word-games, tongue-twisters, puns and other annoying vocabulary-related hobbies, which gives him a tendency to natter endlessly if given the chance. Don't worry--if you interrupt he'll listen with equal interest.

Jesse's probably been kicking around for a few months lately, but most of his efforts have been going into putting together a coffee shop in town. It'll be open soon, ready to display the artwork of local talent and provide glorious caffeine to all the Deck. Is there anyone who might have run into him, or is interested in having him hang some paintings?

The riddle thing might be taken in various ways, depending on what's the dealio back in her studio. If it's relaxed or near the start, she giggle, she try her best, he might have to give hints, but darn, she'll try to be a good ridder-type-person. If it's towards the middle-end? Growly artist is growly and might scribble angry things. (It's not you Jesse, it's her on those days. She still loves you).

Towards the end of her projects, she is locked away.

Oh, she totally will! The bathrooms will be elegant and black and white with trims of cool colors. It will be lovely. :D

Jesse understands growly artists are growly. He would never withhold caffeine, even if she couldn't riddle or didn't want to draw. But she will learn quickly that he likes to tease people and on really mrrrrrmy days there will be an additional cookie just because she should know she is awesome.

His coffee house will have the BEST bathrooms, he is sure.

She normally is not growly. On her good days Jesse will get hugs and tons of preliminary sketches. And apologies. Lots of them. And oh dear lord, Jesse is trying to get a Pixie of Doom to just cling to him forever? Cookies?

She has no need to apologize, only accept that he will give her decaf if he catches her not sleeping even after she's finished a big project. You know. For her health. And he will treasure every one of the sketches dearly. And yes, cookies. Probably the kind with jam in them and the fancy top-parts where you can SEE the jam.

He's not sure if Their Various Majesties will be keen on having the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th best bathrooms, unless the castles don't count as 'in town.' Then it will probably be fine.

But she doesn't like to sleep, Jesse. Sleep is bad. Sleep reminds her of things she might not like to be reminded of! Let her wake. Unless if he sneaks her the decaf. Because she cannot tell the difference until it's too late. And even then, she understands why.

... it's those cookies that bring her back. Delicious cookies.

There are Castles and there is the Town. She cannot compete with the royal bathrooms. They got really, really fancy stuff in those bathrooms. All the coffee shop will have is awesome painting.

Will totes sneak her the decaf but she will think him when her lovely artist hands aren't shaking from a caffeine overdose. And there will always be cookies. And scones. And muffins. Danishes, when he has the time.

Well, still. Best bathroom in town is pretty darn awesome.

OMG. He noticed her lovely artist hands... but that's only because he wants her paintings. She is hurt, darling Jesse. Hurt. If were not for being a derp, cookies, and scones she would be angry and hurt. Instead she pats his head.
