Fletcher Pelham, two of hearts

Hi everyone! I'm Abby, and completely new to this game. I found you guys by consistently lurking through people's profiles on SWS...so thanks to those of you who post there. This game looks like a lot of fun. Also, I'm kind of a dork, and I haven't done a big game on livejournal in awhile, so if I screw something up, please let me know, and I will try my best to fix it. :| I've been surviving on PSLs for way too long, haha.

ANYWAY: Fletcher's new to the deck and as such is at the very bottom of the totem pole. He's a musician (specifically: the violin), kind of an airhead, very social, very promiscuous (as evidenced by my username, which I was a little bit too proud of), and doesn't care too much about hierarchy and all that, at least not for right now. Anyway...hi?

Anyway, he's a bit prickly, does expect hierarchy to followed, and doesn't particularly care for Hearts. Sorry, Fletcher.

Pete (maystillcrow) is Elisha's, the King of Clubs, personal assistant. He's still pretty new for me so I don't have a lot to say about him yet. He's also a freelance part time writer for the Daily Trump, the Deck newspaper.

Johnny (fiddlerjohnny) is a Four of Hearts and also a violin player. He was originally inspired by The Devil Went Down to Georgia so yeah...there's that. Unfortunately, after sassing the Devil, he lost all memory of his life before that and stumbled into the Deck. (no worries, not actually bringing the Devil into the game) He's slowly regaining memories, and that's being helped along since his long-lost girlfriend showed up. ;)

Elani (elani_songbird) is an Eight of Clubs and a music teacher in the Castle. She loves song and dance and will probably think Fletcher is just lovely. Fair warning, if you break her heart, she has a lot of men in her life who'll likely break your kneecaps, Fletcher. ;)

And Davin (so_complicit) is an Eight of Spades who basically Procures difficult-to-find things from off-Deck. Strange antiques, rare wines? Millions of strands of fairy lights? He's your guy.

Aha, sorry for doubling up on the violin thing. -___- Fletcher's musical stuff is more integral to his character in other versions of him, so hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a problem. But nice to meet you! He can sometimes stop himself from flirting with everything that moves, so he might even manage to have a functional relationship with Elani and everyhing! And he'll probably end up antagonizing Julien without even realizing it. Sigh, Fletcher.

Hello! I'm EJ and welcome welcome.

I have four Kidlets here-

First is Victor Fox - morallydefunct - He is the head of Spade Security, and a Ten of Spades. He's pretty much not the nicest guy ever, and doesn't have much reason to really talk to Fletcher.

I have this one, Clive Kell, who is Jack of Spades. He's pretty much the likable guy. He has cousins in the Hearts (just two) that are fairly high Ranked. So he might be about in Heart Castle from time to time and run into him that way.

Hadyn Novak - maskofhearts - is a Nine of Hearts, and Clive's younger cousin. He has been in the Hearts since he was about 8, but despite his Heart-ish nature, can be rather Spade-like in his moodiness. He's part of he Shakespearean Actors Troupe in town (it is primarily made up of Hearts, but there are many members from different suits). He recently challenged the troupe leader, Master Henry, for his rank of Nine and won. Since then Master Henry had made him a director for the 'Modern arts', and left him to work on more current plays- but has denied him time slots, time and well...just about everything. He's currently pretty frustrated about this.

and Lastly Leona Matthews - mightbedrunk - Is a Six of Clubs, and pretty much the happy go lucky one. She likes to drink, and she likes to party. She also is very good with numbers, and thus is the Head of Accounting for the Clubs. She's pretty much easy to get along with and prone to randomly odd statements. She's also incapable of being anything less and brutally honest about things at times.

Nice to meet you! :) I can definitely see Fletcher getting along with Leona (peas in a pod~) and probably friendly with Clive and Hadyn, though if Hadyn's feeling testy, Fletcher'll probably have a way of getting on his bad side XD

Hi, Abby! I'm Song. I found this place just about the same way, only the background sounded so rich that I thought the characters must have come from some TV show I was unfamiliar with. XD Also, I agree: great user name. Now for the list:

Jubilee jestincase a Joker. She may or may not flirt, but don't be surprised if she acts childlike one moment and flirty the next. She's a Joker, and since Fletch is new, those cards in particular may perplex him. XD

Katya maidentheshade | Queen of Spades: Katya is Ukrainian by birth and also came from the Outside. She always appears friendly and outgoing and will no doubt flirt if flirted with. She's musically talented, playing the balalaika, banadura and guitar. She's also given to offering her drink of choice, horilka, to people. Beware.

Drew "Monty" Montgomery threecardmonty | 5 of Clubs is also from Outside. He's been on Deck for close to 4 years now. He's a grifter by nature and quite the charmer and swift to see through a like-minded soul. So long as he's harmless he won't mind none. He likes to shoot pool and the breeze and jaw a bit.

Sophie Berthier onlytolerable | 6 of Diamonds is their head archivist/librarian. She's extremely shy, especially around people she hasn't met, and prone to blushing. She is getting better at this (mainly through dogged determination). She has a weakness for charmers, but also can see through them quite well since her sisters used to think it was funny to sick their boyfriends on her and bet on how fast they could make her blush.

I'm not playing any Hearts currently, though I plan to bring in Cooper, who's a chef and an 8.

Hi there! Nice to meet you. Fletcher will no doubt be confused by Jubilee but probably won't question things too much (too much work) and will probably get along with him just fine as a result. He's beyond harmless, so I don't think Monty would have too much of a problem with him. And he'll delight in flirting with Sophie. XD ...And will probably end up drinking the horilka at some point. He's kind of dumb.

Okay being weird aside, I have three characters!

Andrea Cruz-Well | this account | Four of Spades: A gardener for the Spades trying to keep her head down after trouble came through her way and by her. The gentlest of my characters if not with some truckload of issues due to her husband's murder in 2006 and a few revelations about him. Very quiet but willing to make friends with anyone who wants to put up with her. Has a lot of buddies among low Cards from different Suits as a result. Might run into him a few times due to her visits to Hearts Castle to meet her best friend.

Chao-Dong 'Danielle' Tung | lightsthejewels | Seven of Diamonds: A secret ruler and a worker for Information Management meaning she makes sure no one in the Diamonds dies from paperwork basically. She believes in being a professional and working hard to gain something. A sourpuss and believes people should work before running off and do stuff, she does have heart. You just need to look for it. She has relatives in the Hearts and is the Hearts Ambassador so they can meet up and interact.

Edith-Felicie Björssen | oftheduty | Nine of Hearts: A recently returned guard from the Hearts Outpost due to injuries she sustained, she is the new Head of Training. Even when she's the oldest of my characters, 52 to Andrea's 29, but is probably the most laid-back and open. She's loud, odd but funn and friendly and will be the one Fletcher will interact the most with.

Howdy thar and welcome! Please to be a dork with us! :D My name is Qi, and I have five critters running around here, although alas, no Hearts.

Eileen (lowtohigh) is the Ace of Clubs and a nearly thirteen year old girl. She's very bookish and has been being trained to be a proper Ace since the age of 6, which makes her a little pretentious in the way of children who grow up too soon.

Cadogan Thomas (diemwnt) is a Ten of Diamonds, originally from Wales. He's ex-Reservist, the head of the Diamond armory and generally doesn't like interacting with people. He also has malformed vocal cords, which means that although he can hear perfectly well, he communicates in BSL/ASL or with a notepad.

Evan McCartney (bluntforces) is a Four of Clubs and superuberalways excited about life. He's Elani's older brother, and this means he's big on singing/dancing/smiling all the time. He just left the Deck for school to get his CPA, but he'll be back frequently bouncing happily at people. I'm sure he and Fletcher will get on super swell! Does Fletcher fiddle?

Declán Chives (piquedbutler) is Five of Spades and the head butler of the Spades Castle. He... is in transition a bit right now, but generally speaking, he dislikes people from the Outside, appears out of nowhere to judge people, keeps an immaculately clean castle and believes deeply in the importance of the ranking system. He's currently off-Deck as well, and it's possible he'll be a little less intense when he comes back in October, but we'll see.

And last is Frederick Stewart-Jarrett (sineoccasu), Six of Diamonds. He's a restoration artist and habitually distracted/covered in paint, but generally very chipper and friendly. I'm sure they'll get on fine as well. o/

Hello I am Felicity and here are my three pups:

Margo (castsalight): A Three of Clubs. She is 29 and Deck-born but has only recently returned to the Deck after years of living on the Outside. Her priorities are the main reason she is still at her rank. She places photojournalism, freelance photography and humanitarian work ahead of climbing the ranks. She is generally a happy, energetic sort. She likes everyone to coexist peacefully but she will fight for a cause she believes in.

Aoife (this account): Four of Diamonds. A 20 year old girl born on the Outside who followed her favorite aunt to the Deck a couple of years ago. She works in her aunt's flower shop on the edge of the Diamond Suit in Town and studies gemology. She is not a very polished Diamond. She has an unusual prettiness and dresses nicely, but she is not used to all the rules and practices on-Deck. She envies those who were born there as they do not have to make fools of themselves in adjusting to the place.

Dybbuk: (suitedtofolly): My Joker. He is very easy to identify; being the only Joker who is older, male and without crazy hair and make up. He runs a circus from his garden on the Green. He is quite solitary but can be coaxed into a conversation about buildings (he was once an architect), mythology and his circus.

I think easiest CR to forge would be between my Two and your Two, as Isadore's more than willing to mentor new cards and she has awesome reactions to being flirted with (read: does not tolerate flirtation easily).

Jordan Novak, Ten of Hearts [heartsthespades]: In charge of security for the Suit, ex-Spade, just got his mother exiled for plotting to kill the last King. Charming if somewhat condescending.

Alasdair DeWitt, Six of Hearts [dreamsofwords]: English teacher, aspiring literary icon, secret mystery novelist. Dances, also. Fairly friendly, has a bit of a cynical streak.

Abby Benson, Three of Hearts [heartpursuit]: She was new to the Deck last month! They have this in common! She's a nurse practitioner and is currently running the Heart Castle Clinic.

My others are: Elisha Kagan [cipherspeak], King of Clubs; Briony Williams [civilizedpoison], ex-Spade Nine of Clubs and Town Pharmacist; Avery Hamilton [uncutclarity], Ten of Diamonds; Kat Berthier [pureaudacity], Six of Diamonds, and finally, this girl, Zoe Kattalakis, ex-Heart Four of Spades who's challenging for Five next week.

Säde here is now Queen, formerly Ace of Diamonds. She joined the Diamonds at 17 following her brother, who was killed in a challenge when she was 19. Married and widowed at 21, became a Ten at 22, Ace at 25. Has a lover, Hector (former Jack of Diamonds), whom she's currently not on good terms with.

[Bad username or site: allthesamemask title=Leigh @ livejournal.com] is her ward, an orphan she found outside. Leigh is a fourteen-year-old Two of Diamonds who is afraid of men around six feet or taller. Smokers too, but the height is more intimidating. She has prosopagnosia and basically if she doesn't know a person well and hasn't memorised their characteristics, is likely to confuse them with other people. She tends to be friendly where possible, though.

[Bad username or site: oneirophiliac title=Annie @ livejournal.com] is a 23-year-old Five of Spades and the Spade exterminator. Her method of choice is snakes. :| She doesn't mind keeping them out of the way if asked to, and she never carries them when looking for someone she knows dislikes snakes, but generally she has at least one on her. She really likes sleeping, and lots of people have stumbled across her in weird places asleep. Generally she's amiable and tries to get along with people ranked below her so as not to get challenged, because she likes where she is now and doesn't want to move. She left the Deck at age 10 with her father and brother but moved back at age 17.

[Bad username or site: sirforawhile title=Iggy @ livejournal.com] is a 27-year-old Five of Hearts living in Town with his family. He's an accountant for his family company, the Deck publishing company. He's a nice guy but he gets very protective of his friends and family. Every single relationship he's been in has ended with him being dumped, so mostly he doesn't date now.
