Oh hey stranger. \o/

In the spirit of proper introductions, I'm Qi, and it's super lovely to meet you and have you playing with us!

I have four Cards here, starting with lowtohigh, the Ace of Clubs and tiny girl-child. She's almost 13, is ridiculously precocious, and has probably bombarded Eve with a zillion questions about both the manufacture of shoes and the economics of running a small business.

My other Club is bluntforces, currently a Four. He's a Deck-baby, although in the last ten years he's been dividing his time between the Deck and work in the Outside, and recently started going to school in Canada to be a CPA. It's fairly likely he and Eve have met, however--he's incredibly outgoing and friendly, only a year older than she is and unlikely to have let even a Diamond go without getting the McCartney welcome wagon at some point.

Then I have piquedbutler, Five of Spades and the head butler at the Castle. He's been getting a little better, but he's a ridiculous sort of shut-in and incredibly judgmental for the most part. Unless she hangs out at Spades a lot, they're not likely to know each other.

And then there is diemwnt. It is clear to me from their ridiculously beautiful voice-test that they know each other, as Diamonds and as some sort of friends. He came to the Deck after she did, and would have passed her up the ranks pretty quickly. But we should discuss. :|a

Ahhh, hello!!

Adding ALL the characters (quite literally, in a minute)! The voice test with Cadogan was seriously the stuff of legends. I don't even know how that happened, it just...did. I know Ky's been stuck to it like white on rice, lol. It's crazy how some characters can just hit it off like that, no? Talking is definitely in order for you and I, Q+I. /lame rhyme

And now to overwhelm you with math! From completely the wrong account!

If I'm doing it right, she joined the Deck in 2002, right? And was a Five in 2007, when Cadogan came to the Deck? He would have passed her in rank two years later in 2009. During this time, he was making friends with Adrien (who is a million years more fashion-forward than Cadogan can ever hope to be), and it's completely likely that either by scouting her for a possible challenge or by means of being made to look at shoes, and from there somehow their ridonkulous friendship grew?

But yes, that sounds good to me! Being new, I'm not too well-versed on all the ties past/present characters have with one another, so whichever way you think seems most plausible would be okie dokes. Given the way they carried on in the voice test (and her functional knowledge of sign, which she undoubtedly learned from him), it seems they would have to have known one another for quite a while at least. 2009 to present sounds like a fair deal. ♥

What's this about Cadogan having wild anger issues? That could be fun. And by fun I mean frighteningly so.

My guess, then, is that in 2008 he probably sized her up and decided that someone else would be better to challenge, and then met her more properly after when he was getting dragged around shoe shopping in 2009 (his challenge to Five was in December).

He's getting a lot better about it, but he's someone who snaps and snaps hard when something genuinely bothers him. Most of the time it's a low slow burn, and hopefully he'll actually get shunted into therapy soon to deal with what's still unresolved.

Bless his heart. She'll try hard not to push his buttons too much, but the way she gets huffy and the way he can fly off the handle, anything can happen. But that's the fun part, no? Or am I just mean? X)

I'm sure that their fights are horrible when they have them. And I'm sure they'll probably have one, because such is life and such is fun RP.
