House of Cards OOC

I got to thinking about this tonight when I realized that Zoë, as a Seven, probably has a job and I didn't really have any idea what that was (it's investment and disbursement management in the Heart finance office now, with her working in the same department as an analyst as a Four through Six. FEAR FOR THE WINE BUDGET CEIRO No, of course she'd never dream of being vindictive.) Elisha is, obviously, in charge of espionage and intelligence for the Clubs. Ben is the Diamond Castle handyman, and Urania, on top of being professionally delusional, is an astronomer and cartographer.

I know for some of the Cards, it's explicitly stated: Mel is in charge of the communal stables, Itchy is the Deck doctor, but for those who aren't Face Cards or Aces, what do you see your Cards doing in the Deck? Professional badass is an acceptable answer.

Hello all!

This is Shae with her second (yeah, probably not record time, but I try. XD) and this is Hunter. He's a former spoiled rich kid who has to lay low thanks to a bumpy past, but he loves being a Spade, so it's not much of a chore. He's a womanizer and a bit of a cad, but he's a good thug, which is what he does. 

He's not a terribly nice guy, unless he wants something from you...

Meet Sophie, Five of Diamonds, and their librarian.

Sophie used to be an Eight, but tumbled down to Five after first one sister, then the next, then her baby sister each challenged her. Rather than hurt them, she threw the challenges. She tells herself that doesn't bother her, but it does. It really does. She's withdrawn into herself. Over the past few years, she's donned armor consisting of oversized cardigans, frumpy skirts and sensible shoes.

Oh yeah. Overdue books? Bad. Broken bindings...punishable by maiming. In fact, she'd much rather gather data for you and present it to you in a form you can't harm. Or touch. The books are hers, yes? Yes.

I... Am weak. And I wanted a character that wasn't all business all the time. David can get rather dreary.

Anyway, this is Jinx, Three of Hearts. She was born outside the Deck, but was sent here real young because the real world was too big an scary for her. She's painfully shy, and won't speak in public unless forced into it, but she's a guru at makeup. That given, she's the Heart's resident makeup artist.

She only got to Three through coincidence - the other two moved up through various means, and she got promoted by default at the time. She's never been worth bothering challenging since then.

Be kind to her, she's terribly afraid of having to talk to you all.

Soooo I go on holiday Saturday, and I'll be away from the internet for a whole two weeks. So, I'm sort of away from now. (Seriously my issues it takes a week to pack. I'm Stressed beyond reason). So I won't be about. Sorry all. I'll be back as soon as I can after the two weeks
